I really have no idea on how to do these things.

How do you keep people from changing your desktop settings?

What do you do to prevent people from installing softwares?

In internet gaming, how do you maintain the connection speed in all stations?

bro, my friend who also serves as my technician in my shop recommended using deepfreeze, its a program wherein once installed, when ur pc reboots, every change from the original setting will be reverted to the original.

and also, norton ghost is said to be useful too, just look into it... hope this helps

for cafes, deepfreeze is a good option. but make sure you also provide a certain area wherein deepfreeze won't affect it. this is so that users can restore saved files in case of unexpected events like sudden restarting of pc

Deepfreeze will save you from day to day maintenance. For cafe, the best practice is to have a minimum of 2 partitions. One for the system which will be protected by deepfreeze and the other for all your working files. You have to redirect the My Document folder to the unprotected partition before installing deepfreeze.

For added protection, you can install Antiexecutable from the same company who developed Deepfreeze. This will warrant the opening or running of undesirable applications such as that of a virus file, hence, protecting also your unprotected partition.
