What about Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Hakeem Olajawun ?

 For me these two guys are the best big guys in the history of the NBA with no disrespect to Bill Russell and his 11 rings .I had the great fortune to watch these two in person while living in L.A. and Houston .Talk about amazing talent and great basketball I.Q.These guys dominated the paint and knew how to win  and making their teammates better. You can stop Shaq by fouling hin and letting him take free throws, these guys ,you couldn't because they shot it like a pro should. Any dissenting comments ?

yep youre correct 2 of the best bigs to play the game but my vote goes to hakeem coz of his speed and agility for a big man.

I like Kareem because of the goggles and the short shorts..  laffman::, plus he made a cameo appearance in the movie 'Airplane'..

But on the court, I like Hakeem.. the Dream shake is sooo cool! David Robinson looked more like a cadet than an Admiral when guarding him..  bnana

i'd go for hakeem too,he's a more complete player kasi compared sa k kareem..he's got both offense and defense in his game..c kareem offensive player lng talaga.. smoking::

Hakeem is good. but stat wise, kareem has the edge.

i strongly agree with this one. If ever they squared up during their primes, they will only cancel each other out. I don't see any dominance of one player over the other. Both are one of the greatest players in NBA history. But as phoebemay mentioned, at the end of the day, when stats are your only source and proof to classify who is better, Kareem or Lou gets the nod.  toast::

lew alcindor early years ni kareem. wahahha kapanahunan pa ng tatay ko 2 ah. antanda na cguro ni ka el heheh. but my vote goes to "the dream" he posterize and hinilo nia halos laht ng defender nia sa knyang patented shake.. wahahha ang lupit umuulan ng siko. ^_^

I guess Abdul Jabaar would get my vote. One of the first big man to have a complete game.  He was a big man with guard skills.
