Yes, re-config the QoS part of your router. It will be a per PORT config.

For low end routers you can chose from High Priority to Low Priority.
On application stand-point, you can also set its priority.

ex. Gaming apps = Highest Priority
     Downloading app = Lowest Priority

For high end router, this will depend on your network knowledge.
Must have atleast a CCNP certification.

You can also use some application/s, you can ask our co-spies if the have one.

on a HARDWARE standpoint there are numerous NEW ROUTERS both wireless and wired that are QoS configurable, thought these new routers may cost more than the usual routers they will distribute bandwith from what u configure as highest and lowest priority, an example is the new Linksys Wireless-N Router (WRT330N):


also check this out, u can use this with winxp to specify the amount of incoming and outgoing data packets

try tc/iproute on linux. yun kontrolado talaga as in b/s..
