death penalty or life sentence?
« on: March 23, 2006, 03:05:38 pm »
in relation sa topic ni bos fei, sangayon ba kayo dito? na as punishment for heinous crimes, bitay dapat?

for me, mas ok ang life imprisonment....para kesa makalusot sila for their crime quikly thru death, mas ok na magsuffer sila, n reflect for the crime they did....its better for them na maisip nila habang buhay na mali nga nagawa nila,....

however, dapat naman di na sila bigyan ng pardon if ever.....

wats ur say?

For those kind of people, I dont give them a chance for they don't give a chance either.

i personally believe death penalty is good. para magtanda. i know it is not so morally right but the right paths are not always the easiest one. noon, in the ancient times, they believed in a mantra that says, ' an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth'. so for me, ung mga dapat patawan ng life sentence ay yung mga may murder cases at ung guilty talaga. ung mga heinous crimes din like rape slay, multiple murder, kidnap for ransom and piracy(pirata ha.. ung sa dagat hndi ung VCD).

haha topic namin to sa asian parliamentary debate at nasa side ako ng 'yes to death sentence'. nanalo kami. ;)

but opinions ko lang to ha.. i dunno of you.

I go for DEATH PENALTY, for those people who are truly guilty especially crimes that are committed beyond human comprehension i.e. rape cum murder and others whom you think/consider heinous.

Yes, we have the reason to believe that everyone is entitled for life, but never entitled to kill.

You have a point mr foreveryoung, but please consider also that there are people who are convicted for a certain crime but in reality, are innocent?  How could you bear this circumstance of being punished by death when in fact you did not commit the crime?  It is happening and certainly happening in our country, though its another story of bribery, money and power rolled as one...hope u got my point.

appreciate your intellectual discourse on the subject matter greenjoseph, at one point you stated the bad state of justice system in our country which is true however, there are also innocent people as you stated that are behind bars who  are convicted and faces reclusion perpetua.

yes you are right, but for me for those people we know who done it and we caught in the act or we know and beleive that he/she is the one who have done it then, he/she deserves death.

I can't blame anyone or everyone if they really go for death penalty. But the law of GOD in new testament doesnt state this kind of law. The law of GOD is his law and no one can change. It is a lifetime commitment to follow. It is clear in 10 commandments. Man's law can be change anytime soon, can be ratified. Well tomorrow we can say there is death penalty or maybe the next day there will be no.What do man has is hatred, anger and revenge that's why they go for it. Those who commit a crime deserves punishment but maybe not death there is only one judge and one law to follow, to trust and cannot be bought. Those who commit can escape from thruth and realities in this world but not with GOD who sees and hears everything. I love my life, but in HIS time I can't do anything. I cant assure my safety in the absence of danger but in the presence of GOD. :D

for me i prefer for DEATH PENALTY...marami n rin ksing nasirang buhay...heinous crimes such as rape murder, robbery w/ hold-up and kidnapping etc...it reflects how the justice system simple getting worst....mraming bagay kasi ang nagppigil sa pag-pataw ng parusang kamatayan andyan na ung Pro-life...CHR or com.of Human rights ( mas marami pa ang rights nung criminal kesa dun sa biktima) politiko...Pag tym n kc na bibitayin na ang convicted criminals andyan na ung pipigilan muna at sasasbhing pag-aaralan ulit ang kaso (aysusmriohosep..sa tagal ng bista nyan hinde pa ba napag-aralan?) Ganyan tlaga dito sa ating bansa..Kaya isang tambak na duon sa BILIBID...Gastusin na rin kc ng gobyerno natin yang mga bilanggo kapag nakakulong...kaya nd tyo umaasenso..Urong-Sulong kasi tyo..Hope mtulad tyo sa U.S once na napatunayan kang guilty of crimes such as MURDER you are liable of DEATH w/out any third party to stop your conviction (although..hinde lahat ng STATE ay may DEATH Penalty)...Sana gnito tyo tutal IDOL nman ntin ang AMERICA bkit hinde nlang cla tularan ng lubusan...maging mature na sana tyo...
