have you guys ever tried solosis forums, or dog pound boxing forums? grabe ang murahan ng mga members dito. to the level of racial discrimination. minsan nakakatuwa, pero most of the times nakaka-asar esp when they are hitting the bad side of one's nationality.
yup, there is respect here in PS. i really like that. im a member of a bunch of other forums but not as active. what i really like about this site is the interaction among members in a civil way.
and you really have to give it to SD, pati na rin mga mods, very nice job in keeping the site going like it is, and might i add, ever improving.
but i think its far fetched comparing PS to our country. call me killjoy, pero its just different.
it might be off-topic, but let me just share this with you. one time back in LB, there was a major gas price hike (throughout the country of course). syempre lahat ng mga tao, asar. pati yung mga estudyante nag-rally. the rallying students blocked the main gate. my dad, that day, went to manila at 4am for a business trip. he arrived at the main gate, going through all the traffic from manila, to calamba, to crossing then pagdating sa main gate, di sya papasukin ng mga estudyante. my dad was just so pissed off! my dad told them "if you really want change, study hard, then make changes when you are already in a better position to do one. im one of those guys paying for your schooling." at yung mga nasa main gate, i think they didnt have a clue what my dad was really talking about.
personally, from the statements in sosyo-pulitika forum, i can see that so many of you guys are still patriots. i used to be so idealistic, pero nung nag-kapamilya na ko everything changed. thats why we are here in canada. we had to think of the family's future.
