The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) named newly-appointed station chiefs during the turnover ceremonies on Friday (June 24, 2016). The turnover which happens every two years, was spearheaded by DCPO director Senior Superintendent Vicente D. Danao Jr.
Senior Inspector Aquino Sereno, former Toril police deputy station commander, now serves as Baguio police chief, replacing Chief Insp. Leonardo Pamplona Jr., who now heads Toril police. Pamplona replaced Chief Inspector Randy Sambalod who is now the chief of Tugbok police. Chief Inspector Ireneo Caburnay, former Tugbok police chief, is now assigned at the operation section in DCPO, replacing Superintendent Angel Sumagaysay, who was appointed as the new deputy city director for operation at DCPO in place of Superintendent Marvin Pepino. Superintendent Jed Clamor, who was assigned at the intelligence branch of DCPO before, is now the new Toril police chief.
Senior Inspector Merlito Tubog has been assigned as OIC-chief Sasa police.
