Comelec body junks all DQ cases against Duterte



The First Division of the Commission on Election has dismissed four petitions against the PDP-Laban presidential bet Rody Duterte to cancel his candidacy.

The body consists three commissioners namely Commissioners Luie Tito Guia,Rowena Guanzon and Robert Lim.

According to Lim, who was the presiding officer,  the vote to dismiss all disqualification cases filed against Duterte was unanimous.

The four petitions against the tough-talking Mayor of Davao were filed by Elly Pamatong, UP Student leader John Paulo delas Nieves, broadcaster Ruben Castor, and presidential candidate Rizalito David. All four cases were junked due to lack of merit.
