Mayor Rody Duterte reading the list of questions from ThinkingPinoy
In an earlier post and through other channels, I asked readers to send over their questions about Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s platform of government, i.e. should he become the next Philippine president.
I sifted through hundreds of emails and Facebook messages to gather questions on Duterte’s platform of government, especially those relating to his Philstar.com Interview that I transcribed a few days ago.
This late afternoon, I asked for some help from a former co-worker at Sun.Star Davao.
She handed the list of questions, along with a cover letter, to Mayor Duterte so he can address them in detail. She was somehow able to do it. Yay!
The cover letter reads:
The mayor said he will need at least two days to prepare the answers for the 50 questions about his platform.
The list of questions cover 25 topics, namely:
- The Police
- The Steel industry
- Business Islands
- Environment
- Access to credit
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Education
- General economic policy
- Ferdinand Marcos
- Government reorganization
- China
- Terrorism
- Insurgencies
- Extra-judicial killings
- Federalism
- Tax reform
- Freedom of Information
- Anti-Dynasty Law
- Political capital and Military Loyalty
- Public discipline
- Decentralization of Development
- Trade Liberalization vs Protectionism
- Allocation of legislative seats in the prospective federalist state
- Planned capital cities
- Local vs National Leadership
- Potential Arms Races
And so, at this point, I guess all we have to do is wait. :-)
