Topic: Globe user cap limit issue

Ewan ko kung ako lang ba nakakaranas nito, para sa mga globe internet users. reset ng capping eh 7am, 5gb limit per day. I used my net 9am mga 30 minutes lang for minimal browsing. Then I opened it again 11am for browsing and minimal game updates. By 1pm globe says that I reached my limit kaya bumagal ang net. The heck, halos wala pa ngang 2gig yung nagamit ko eh na reach agad ang cap? This happened to me two times,  eversince na nadale ako dun sa mapanlinlang na upgrade nang plan ko just last week. Sa ibang globe dyan, do you encounter the same issue? Para kaseng may error sa system nila sa pagmonitor nang internet usage, parang mali mali.

ang may limit na ganun is LTE and 3G lang ata. sa bahay LTE so yeah may daily limit. pero yung DSL sa kabila wala namang limit. i just downloaded 5GB worth of different files and wala naman nabago sa speed (this is a new plan, 5mbps dynamic IP installed last july)

yung new cap nila started around june or july. separate na ang counting for mobile and broadband plans. yung broadband na LTE/3G may cap (daily) na rin pero mas maluwag ang cap compared to those using mobile (LTE/3G) na monthly ang cap

also counting of bandwidth is not just the files you download. everytime you load a page kumakain na yan dun sa cap mo. especially sa mga pages na marami ang naka embed tapos ilang beses mo irefresh, malaki na kakainin nun sa bandwidth

one good thing though is dynamic IP halos lahat ng broadband ng globe now (although they still offer static at an added cost of mga 600 per month). just reset your IP and you should be good again (since the counting is probably on per IP address)

DSL, 5mb has a limit of 10gb kaya sakto lang na makadownload ka nang file na ganyan. My daily limit is 5gb per day and it sucks because I'd been monitoring my usage eh halos wala pang 2gb ang nagamit ko, for just a span of 3 hours eh it's impossible for me to consume 5gb just for browsing and a little update on the software. Grabe tlaga, so bad, I already filed a complain though.

this is on a 5mbps plan because tinanggal na nila yung dating 2mbps na static IP (naglipat kasi ng location and hindi sila pumayag na transfer lang yung old plan since wala na raw yung plan na yun). on that same price range ang pinalit nila is dynamic IP pero up to 5mbps pero we all know that the 2mbps static IP is still the better choice. but yeah kung 10GB medyo mataas na yun. BUT I did remember when I downloaded archeage about 2 weeks ago, the whole game download was more than 10GB (plus I also updated glyph launcher AND rift which was about 2GB total). the entire download and install did finish in about 5 hours (mga 1-2pm ako natapos download, and even downloaded some tv episodes after that) wala naman akong napansin na slowdown

but then again, both the old and new plans are not on residential plans. naka business plan so maybe the cap only applies to residential plans (hindi ko rin matandaan na may namention na cap ang ahente ng globe, ang namention lang na cap is for the mobile since nag offer din yun ng regular postpaid plans with free cellphone, tablet, laptop)

pero yes marami na talaga reklamo about that fair usage policy of globe. mas mura kasi plans nila eh kaya siguro yun ang drawback, you pay less compared to PLDT but suffer from that fair usage policy and not so good monitoring

baka sa wifi? may gumagamit ng hindi mo alam... hindi ko pa na experience ganyang problema... since ako lang gumagamit ng net ko mahahalata ko agad problema... usually mga 2pm onward na reach ko cap everyday... di ko alam kung anong oras reset ng cap pero tuwing pagbukas ko ng pc ng 6am, normal speed na...

7am ang reset nang cap, I don't have a wireless router din. Hassle talaga.

im using Globe Boradband 5mbps, meron cap na 10gb per day, pero madaya feeling ko kahit magreset ng 7am eh bigla na lang nauubos yung 10gb ko dahil halos %20 nakukuha kong download speed, But as far as video streaming is concern maganda yung Globe kahit nasa limit ka na, compared to bayanshit. few more months matatapos na yung contract ko sa bayanshit lol bye bye.

Really Leightot? Akala ko ako lang. Yun nga eh, parang may palya sa monitoring system nila, kahit hindi ka heavy user eh bigla na lang sasabhin na na reach mo na daw yung cap limit mo. I contacted the technical support, at ayun i iinvestigate daw nila. I asked them kung anong oras ako nag consume nang marami and they can't give an answer.  Ayun nag file na ako nang complaint sa NTC because I know they can't fix my issue for this day.
