Jovito Palparan's lawyer gave a statement on News To Go this morning and--based on what he said--it's a foregone conclusion that they're going to employ the "Befehl ist befehl" defense (or a variation thereof) that was so popular during the Nuremberg Trials.

There was also a bomb scare at PUP today. I wonder if it was just a coincidence or if his arrest had anything to do with it?

I've made negative comments about certain members of the left-leaning groups but I also believe that the good of the nation is not served by those in uniform who swore to uphold the law of the land and yet flout it with impunity in the name of duty.

The lefties, as long as they don't serve their ideology via a bullet, can praise and shout all they want.  If they pick up arms and start shooting, then they are already just using their so-called ideology to justify their actions.

What I am against with Gen Palparan's actions is he became a lapdog of the previous administration.  He considers everyone the previous government enemy as his enemy too.  The army and pnp should follow "blind obedience" to a certain degree.  But when it starts to go wrong, one should use his or her own reasoning and judgement.

Bdw, sorry pag hindi ko napost yung body nung article mismo.  Was in mobile device then and screen estate and keyboard ain't that ideal for a copy paste.

OT, ang ganda naman nung nagpost after me.  ;D

So you believe this is a redirection scenario.  Look at the left hand while my right hand does something I don't want you to notice?

I believe the charges against him are kidnapping and serious illegal detention, Seigneuresse SpyDrew.

Ibang redirection ang naiisip ko. Diyusko, ituloy pa rin nila ang Ampatuan case, Arroyo case at Yolanda rehabilitation.

I can say we are seeing in the same wavelength here.  The massacre payoffs is such a big issue and yet, I could see it die a natural death in a few weeks time.  Ang daming distractions.

As for the charges, while talking to my mahal yesterday, "isn't it that general Palparanjust did what he is supposed to do" she said.

It's like this, it's the duty of the guard to secure say a premise.  But what if a shootout erupts nearby and say a jeepload of people suddenly takes refuge in his compound?  Does he shoot them all given that his main job is to secure the place?  Or bend his rules and allow them refuge?  It is all about following orders and still using your head to decide on what is right and wrong.  The army's main function is actually to safeguard the nation and all the Filipino people.  There may be so called collateral damages in performing such duties but still maximum tolerance should be exercised as much as possible.

The arrest of General Palparan is good news because the bloody Communists (and the NPA) did not get him first. Now, his medical problems will be handled property by the government. I salute this man and for me he's the real hero. His name was never been smeared of any corruption and live a very simple life.

Every officer in the Armed Forces of the Philippines knew General Palparan, and his outstanding and selfless service to his country as a professional soldier and a gentleman. This undoubtedly would prove to be an inconvenience to his sworn enemies most particularly the leftist extremist guerillas of the CPP-NPA and their masquerading allies in the civilian front. The result would be his being a subject of malevolent character assassinations and black propaganda in the media (most recently a court case), and conveniently became their target for malicious accusations of kidnapping, mysterious disappearances of so-called "human rights" activists, and extra-judicial killings. Every officer also knew that the issues leveled against Palparan are mere propaganda, and if any at all really happened, it's not Palparan, nor the Army, but the CPP-NPA themselves are the ones who actually committed it. On top of it all, these leftist swindlers try all they can to link him and his actions to the person they diabolically hate the most - Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. All of this because Gen. Palparan has proved to be the lump in their throats. They would fondly give him the nickname "The Butcher."

Just a question, is he still on trial or was he proven guilty already of the crimes?

I do agree with your opinion when it comes to this so called party-list members of congress.  We all now what they are pushing and we know the ideology that drives them.

However, just like every human being, everyone must be afforded the right of life and liberty.  And if one would take it away from someone, it should be via a process which should ensure that such action is not abused.  If and when such killing and disappearance happens wantonly, like already a vice, then something is wrong.  I agree that at times an iron hand should be used, however, only on certain occasions, not on a regular basis.  I, on the other hand, will make an exception to those rapist, particularly with that 1 month old one.  If possible, such monster should be killed several times.  Only to be able to level-in on his sadisticness.

Yes, the actions of Gen. Palparan can be argued as in his performance of his duties.  However, it is my opinion that he went beyond what his duty called for.

No! Seigneuresse SpyDrew and Chevalier Bouya Harumichi are right! The Communists are the enemy and the enemy deserves death! Every last man, woman, and child among them! Eliminate all undesirables from our Fatherland! We must be nationalists! We must be patriots! Die Philippinen über alles!

Asar lang yang mga party list congressmen na yan, they became instant congressmen even if people don't want them to.

If--just if, mind you--this is the source of your photograph (as seen above), Chevalier:

then perhaps I might interest you in a copy of the Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion? It's free and a great many anti-Communist patriots worldwide swear by the veracity of this document.

Whoaaaa, not to rain on your parade people, but you might want to switch to PMs for that.

Manyak website na po ang espiya, huwag na natin dagdagan ng iba pang labels.  Not that I see something wrong with that, but, better to be on the safe side of things.  Anyways, we can still continue with the free flow of ideas and opinions here, let's just keep it tamed down for our own security if you may.

Beg pardon, Seigneur praeto_RYAN. I didn't mean to violate the Republic's security. I just wanted to verify if the Facebook page of the NFPP was the source of Chevalier Harumichi's photograph. My offer of a copy of the Protocols was a way to emphasize the need for caution when taking in ideas from an organization like the NFPP.
