Topic: [rumor] Transformers 4 won't be released here in PH

Just stumbled upon a post of Big Boys Store's facebook page.
We are all not sure.
And, sorry if I know little about IP's and rights.

WE are not trying to prank people. THis is just a news we have information of and just sharing it to the toy community who WE ARE SURE will 'emotionally' be affected by this. hehe. AGAIN, its not 100% sure, so still hoping it will show, BUT chances are dim...

For those of you who didn't know this, there is a 99% chance that Transformers 4 won't show here in the Philippines. This is due to the dispute by... ( long story, read it on online news ). So, lets just buy the toys and use our imagination! And, to whoever gets to see a link of the movie online, wink wink, alam mo na. Thanks in advance.

According to the news, there is a dispute with distribution rights with Solar Entertainment Corp and United International Pictures (UIP).
Solar Entertainment is the local distributor of UIP here in the Philippines.
But UIP named Columbia Picture recently to be the local distributor which violates the 2012 agreement with Solar Entertainment.

The legal wrangling and horse trading involved in this dispute will probably drag on for the rest of 2014. That's one less toy commercial in the cinemas.
