ok so yung internet dito sa bahay pinalitan ng Globe LTE home, 999 3mbps. there are two wired computers in the house. yung pinakamalapit sa modem no problem kasi yung kasabay na cable ang gamit. nagkaron ng problem on the second computer. for some reason, ayaw mag connect. it kept on identifying and then drop over and over. so tried a few variations until finally it worked when network speed was set to only 10mbps. nung gumana na, I thought may problema lang sa LAN cable ko (maybe one or two putol). but then today when I brought my testers, crimpers, etc. ayun nakita ko na ang problema. one of the 8 cables was not responding, pero pag both ends ang nakalagay sa tester, ok naman detect lahat ng 8.
so tested all the ports of the huawei LTE router CP B593 (not the CPE model), ganun lahat. one of the 8 ayaw talaga umilaw. so i checked their cable kung bakit pag yun gamit walang problema sa pag detect. ayun 4 lang pala ang gamit ng cable nila not 8 (you need 8 to get speeds of up to 100mbps-1GB). but just to be sure, i recrimped both ends. same thing. so ayun, ganun pala style nila para may limit yung speed mo, for some reason they hardwired the ports at the back na hindi gumana yung isa sa walo. so talagang limited lang ang speed mo pag nag connect ka dun sa port na yun
that would be ok kung isang pc lang, ang problema is pag network and meron say LAN game, patay ka since up to 10mbps lang ang speed na kaya (which translates to around 1MB/s only). also kung eto lang ang limiting factor ng globe on LTE para mafix yung download speed mo, it should be relatively easy enough to bypass.
If I use another LTE router, maybe I can enjoy the true speeds of LTE (which is around 40mbps) since basically I will just be transferring the sim and the antenna connection
the daily cap though might be a problem, nasa 7GB per day lang. seems big but its actually not. a couple of streaming videos ubos agad yan
