Can you use a GPS system in the Philippines?

i want to buy a gadget but are there even support for the thing? can you use a handheld? is there a service provider?

myphone android lang ang gamit ko with GPS and its working.

pwede sya kahit walang data connection.

then inaanak ko uses Kata Tab. yun ang ginamit nila to navigate papuntang Batangas for their outing.

Any GPS unit should work in the Philippines, as the array of GPS satellites provides world-wide coverage. The problem is that if you want a moving map GPS unit like the Tom-Tom Navigator or Garmin Street Pilot, you'll have to find the system software that includes the maps for the country where you want to use the unit.  Garmin and Magellan works.

sa CP ko i use mapdroyd. sa tablet naman OsMand.

and google maps works

Nokia Lumia Windows Phones and every other Windows Phone 8 device can use Here Drive + which along with Here Maps is one of the best FREE OFFLINE Mobile Navigation updated regularly powered on NOKIAs NAVTEQ branch

yung ATT lumia 520 ko di ko pa napapa SIM UNLOCK but the GPS works on HERE DRIVE+
