[Question] Web Developer (Entry Level?)
« on: January 06, 2014, 06:34:34 am »
Mga co-spy, not-so-fresh graduate ako in BSIT. I finished a complete system with my partners in guidance of our critic, hindi pinagawa or sort of. And ngayong graduate nako naging free lance ako at naka-experience ng once or twice na projects sa small clients. But I want to put it to the next level, gusto ko mag-apply sa isang company. But I have doubts and concern.

a) May entry level ba as web developer?
(Kasi building a complete system mahirap naman kapag kabisa mo lahat ng syntax or sort of kasi iba iba yun, css, php, mysql, ajax, etc.  ???

Haha. Hoping for some answers and advise. Salamat!

Ayun lang pre good luck. Hello World!

Good Luck!

So 1-2 years of experience is like an entry level at all?
Yep pag up to 5 years exp ang nirequire sigurado hindi bagito ang kelangan nila.

Kapag wala ako nahanap na job as developer siguro IT Staff for a while then gawin ko na lang sideline yun.
Pakiramdam ko kasi hindi ako fit mag Tech Support because of poor oral communication skills.

LOL. No idea. Why?

hmm, sorry for this short reply.

mostly pag entry level, pinag eexam nila ng common h.r. exams, like logic, math, etc. bihirang may english. then meron silang chinecheck na iq level. decent iq level.

then, interview. they're checking if you're fit enough in the working environment, you're not hard to handle, and you're willing to learn.

...here comes the requirement like paper works and medical thing. then you're in :) welcome to the training grounds. makinig kang mabuti sa training, mag practice kang mabuti sa arts nang language na ituturo, e perform and advance reading, then huwalaah :P you're a training grad na for your Programing language. awaiting for billability or mapunta sa project.

Pm me if you want, i can send your resume. i might be able to help.

JavaMe :)

Necromancer here, currently I have a job now but unfortunately not in web development career, but I'm still rooting for it and in fact may i-pupublish ako na website which will be a "charity work" because the client is my sister and her band. LOL.

The problem is where to put the website now, pwede bang free web hosting sites na lang (000webhost , ueuo.com for example)? Its a hard coded one as well as my unpublished web portfolio.

Sabi din ng iba kong kakilala, I must pick a CMS like drupal or wordpress to become marketable. Uhmm why?  ???
Nag-apply ako to some companies but they require knowledge in C# or other programming language, I know some pero hindi ko siya naging forte talaga. Kaya I end up taking a different job but not happy on it.  :(

Haha. But thanks so much for your offer.  toast::
