While he's playing movie critic, perhaps Lourd de Veyra should also write an open letter to Sarah Geronimo asking her to start French-kissing her leading men.

Then again, whatever happened to all those times he said that someone should follow their own inner muse and not pay too much attention to what critics say?

At this point in time, only idiots would believe De Veyra's words as the gospel truth.  His pseudo-edgy style has run its course, as all he does is criticize, criticize and criticize... much like a nagging wife, albeit in a manner where he tries so hard to sound like a common man, so much so that he is exposed to be just that, a "trying hard."  His wisdom is shallow.  His attempts at wit mostly miss their mark.  And everything that comes from him - be it his televised commentaries or his written entries - do not really elevate the consumer's consciousness.

He may have a point with regards to stereotypical plots of pinoy movies. Most of Filipino citizen (including me of course) are afraid to walk away from their comfort zone. nakagawian at tradisyon. Their motivation is to make money and not to leave legacy.

Wow.. Idiot talaga? Opinion nya yun.. We cannot quarrel with that. And that is your opinion too. I won't quarrel with that too. There is some truth too that. He is just demanding as an audience something that is worth his money.

Yes he may sound like a nagging wife. Isn't that the reason in the first place why a woman nags? Because she is tired of the same things. From that floor to sink routine. Just like the blogger. . :-)

Pinoy talaga. anyway never ako nanood ng Pinoy movie sa sinehan not worth the money. Bakit di nila gayahin si ER ejercito he is producing movies on the verge of transitioning the filipino style of movies, its good though worth to download his movies especially pag RIP na. haha. sick of all these funny, variety, kids, love story ng mga movies natin halos paulit ulit na lang. wala bang bago?

it ain't over. . .till its over

hahahahhahaah

he is right in his own course of education but not right to other field of knowledge

one thing people don't understand is it's not really all about My Little Bossings. it was about Vic sotto being an artist as a whole and at tackle to how the Filipino movie goers suck and continue to suck, sucking these PNY movies.

pero anong kasalanan ni Vic Sotto dito? He makes movies for kids and he is good at it.

That's crazy.

The catch, Grande-Duchesse, is that there are people who like to nag just because they like to listen to themselves talk. They don't even think about what they say; they just like the feeling that they can make someone say "How high?" when they say "Jump!"  That's why I take M'sieur de Veyra's opinions (as well as that of his ilk) with several grains or more of salt.

Entertainer si Vic..he likes children...and also businessman din sya....kahit na maimpluwensya at makapangyarihan sya na posisyon...hindi naman sya ganun kayaman (dami nya chicks at anak eh, lahat yung suportado nya)....hindi naman sya susugal sa pelikulang alam nyang talo....hindi na masaya para sa bata....lugi pa sya...doble talo.....leave the artistic field to others....kinalakihan na natin si Vic na ganito...ngayon pa ba natin babaguhin...but who knows? siguro pag medyo "tumanda"na talaga sya...and hindi na sya "George Clooney" like....i bet he will do those "mature" role..but for now let's enjoy "groovy" Vic!
