uTorrent downloads are VERY SLOW.

Slower than normal. (200 kb/s Connection)
The torrent i'm downloading has a decent number of seeders. (3500+ seeds)
But still. The speed i'm getting is from 2 kb/s - 50 kb/s
I tried different torrents but still the same result.
What could I do to fix this?

stop all other downloads in utorrent so the torrent left running (including seeding, not just the ones downloading) can enjoy the entire bandwidth available

Apparently there is a rumor that PLDT has been throttling connections due to a problem with a submarine cable, it has not been confirmed or verified by official sources but they claim that repairs will be done first week of January.

Minsan hindi rin accurate yung nakalagay na Seeders dun sa uTorrent eh. May mga panahon na marami ngang seeders pero sobrang bagal pa rin mag download. Minsan ang konting na seeders tipong 2-5 lang pero mabilis naman magdownload. (Smart bro user ako :) )

Parang ako din yata nararanasan ko yan. Yung 700mb file ang tagal pero ang dami naman seed at konti ang leech.

do you have a router? if so, bypass it and hard wire your comp directly to the modem (your pc should get a public ip). then check the speed. kung mabilis, you may need to open some ports sa router mo.

Yup confirmed ito... 90% ng kakilala ko bumagala sobra yung download sa torrents..... yung 10% ewan ko kung nagsisinungalin na walang problem

try nyo mga ito.. baka gumana sa inyo  laffman::

1. pag sa utorrent... try nyo end task.. tapos run nyo ulit...

2. try yung Vuze , meron option na transport encryption or something... ito gumagana sa akin.. umaabot ng 400-600+ dl speeds ko after a few mins ( pag ayaw wait lang kayo )

mahaba ang explanation for this but basically its perfectly normal na kahit maraming seeds, mabagal ang download speed

short explanation. just because you are seeding a torrent it does not mean you are actually uploading at full speed. its possible the seed is also downloading/seeding other torrents so their upload speed is divided into how many torrents they have running. so kahit na say 10mb/s ang speed ng seeder, if he has lots of torrents running, it could mean he is only contributing like 10kb/s to that torrent that you are downloading. and as such kahit pa 10mb/s ang speed mo, if the seeder is only uploading at 10kb/s you will only get 10kb/s

happened to me, too.
di ko maalala kung ano yung dinownload kong game. pero same case, maraming seeders/leechers pero less than 100kbps ang download. pero ibang torrent (from TVN or Yibis), pumapatak ng 400-500kbps.

lahat ba tayo na bumabagal pldt ang provider? if yes baka naman sinasakal nila? everything else normal ang apeed ko ying torrents lang talaga ang mabagal

sakin din ang tagal ng download matapos bago pa magpasko ganun na. PLDT mydsl user. yung mga games at movies tuloy laos na d pa tapos sa akin.

Sana may makapag suggest ng paraan. sayang bandwidth kay PLDt.

same here mga sir ang bagal sobra ng torrent speed ko bumagal siya after Christmas din. Sana maayos naman lagi na lang ganyan ang pldt mydsl.

sobra bagal PLDT DSL....may problema talaga ata..i'm using Bittorrent...dati at 2.5GB DL ay sandali lang now...iniwan ko na buong gabi hindi pa rin tapos...

mga sir sinubukan ko ulit mag download sa utorrent ngayon yung mga old movies mabilis ang speed, pero yung mga new movies ang bagal sobra. Before naman mabilis pareho old or new movies. bakit ganun weird yata? tia

one other thing that you can try if your isp indeed throttles your torrent download speed is to convert the torrent file into a web-downloadable file. go here:

www.zbigz.com

upload your torrent file and download it as a web-based instead of torrent-based file. guaranteed na makukuha mo ang supposed speed na binigay ng isp mo. partner it with IDM. although i think may limit sa size ng torrent na madadownload mo.
