A 20-minute gameplay demo of Shinji Mikami’s The Evil Within that was shown at the Eurogamer Expo has been released online.

The game centers around a detective called Sebastian who attends the scene of a mass murder only to discover something more than he bargained for. Sebastian is attacked and knocked unconscious, upon waking he finds himself in a world full of monsters.

The Evil Within is set to release in 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can check out the demo below–it begins at the 8:30 mark.
