Ang tawag sa mga taga-ARMM ay mga Moro..ano man tribo nila, Maranao, Maguindanao, Yakan, Badjao, o Tausog...with addition of the Lumads.. the Moro are separate and distinct from the rest of the people of Mindanao whose ancestors were settlers from the Luzon and the Visayas that was resettled in Mindanao by the Philippine Government from the Commonwealth Period until the 50s and the 60s. The term Mindanaon is a misnomer..an effort of Christian settlers to establish an island-wide identity for all those living in Mindanao which for intentionally or unintentionally has for its effect the dilution of the identity of the original Mindanaons, the Moros and the Lumads.
The current arrangements being prepared for a greater share of taxes and resources for the proposed Bangsamoro political entity is in fact too small an amount if one has to see where the majority-Moro provinces are in the list of poorest provinces in the country.
