Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson's only daughter, is taking her turn in the spotlight. According to a report dated March 6 by TMZ, Paris Jackson is a high school cheerleader for the Buckley School basketball team in Los Angeles.
Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, is now 14. Despite being raised out of the spotlight by her father, Paris Jackson is currently seeking the spotlight. She is taking center stage on the hardwood of her high school's basketball court.
“It is nice to see her being a normal kid,†Terry Sexton, from Norman, said. “The way Michael Jackson was raising Paris [Jackson] and her brothers was scary. She needs to go to school, meet people and just be teen.â€
This isn't the first time Paris Jackson, has placed herself front and center. She also played football, flag football, in 2011. She is also wanting to start acting and modeling. Despite her young age, Paris Jackson is also a political activist. Like many other girls her age, Paris Jackson is a Justin Bieber fan.
She's a freshman so she's cheering for Frosh basketball here during winter season. According to the school website their athletic teams compete regularly in CIF competitions.
The girls varsity tennis team won the CIF SS Div. IV Championship after an undefeated season in league play. Sue Sherman was named Fall CIF Southern Section Girls Tennis Coach of the year.
The boys varsity tennis team made it to CIF Finals - a Buckley first.
The boys varsity soccer team was Liberty League Champion for the third straight year.
The girls and boys varsity basketball teams finished 2nd in Liberty League.
Buckley made its initial showing in the Saddleseat and Western School League of Greater L.A.
96% of Middle School students participated in at least one sport; 85% participated in 2 or more sports. Seventeen Middle School teams went to playoffs
