Question about LED TV
« on: January 11, 2013, 03:37:43 pm »

hope to get feedbacks asap.. thanks in advance finger4u

usually pag sinabing HD 720p yun, pag HD ready mga 720p (or less) din, ang full HD is 1080p

sa hertz, refresh rate yan, higher refresh rate better results. merong 60hz, 120hz, and the newer 240hz

kung luma ang mga gadgets na ikakabit mo sa tv (i.e. dvd player, NAS, home theater) then you will need more AV input slots BUT if bago what you need to look for is HDMI, SPDIF, or even USB

Kung balak mo bumili ng TV, ipagpaliban mo na lang muna. Meron na bagong labas na technology called OLED TV at ilalabas yan ng LG.  Mas malinaw ito sa LED ng Samsung.

LG mauuna magpalabas ng OLED not samsung? Samsung already has AMOLED screens for their cellphones, so I thought if any sila rin mauuna magpalabas ng AMOLED TV

yung nakikita ngayon na mga LED are only LED backlit, not really LED panel

1) standard resolution of CRT TVs is 640x480 or 480p
HD = 1280x720 or 720p
HD+ = 1600x900 or 16:9 usually for LAPTOPS
FHD or Full HD = 1920x1080 or 1080p

2013 is the official DEATH of 3D in HDTVs since 3D was barely seen in CES 2013 unlike last year where 3D was the "IT" and with its death comes ULTRA HD or 4K HDTVs

Ultra HD or 4K HDTV which is the
4K UHDTV (2160p) has a resolution of 3840 × 2160 (8.3 megapixels), 4 times the pixels of 1080p.
8K UHDTV (4320p) has a resolution of 7680 × 4320 (33.2 megapixels), 16 times the pixels of current 1080p HDTV

2) Hz or REFRESH RATE is the measurement to which the speed of frames per second switches on your TV meaning the faster the Hz the smoother the motion and the less BLUR/STUTTER or what is known as GHOSTING

Refresh rates:

60hz = standard on every LCD/LED flat pannel monitors, HDTVs and most common in laptops, also found in 720p 3D HDTVs
75hz = was the typical refresh rates on CRT Monitors
100hz = MotionFlow Gimmick that SONY accelerate 60hz faster and call it 100hz and was the 1st speed that was used to reduce ghosting
100hz = TrueMotion was LGs version or MotionFlow though seemed better when used with 1080p or Bluray movies still showed a massive amount of Ghosting
120hz = the actual standard refresh rate to make movies and games have minimal Ghosting found in most newer model HDTVs with or without 3D
240hz = twice the speed and no more Ghosting and the best speed for 3D movies and games
600hz = the refresh rate for PLASMA TVs and probably the best PLASMA 3D HDTV from PANASONIC that actually is the closest you can get to iMAX 3D

3) Nowadays HDMI is the standard output for HDTVs and having more than 2 is common since there are a lot of devices you can plug into 1 TV such as Game Consoles, PCs/Laptops, HTPCs, Media Players/Servers and yes even Cellphones thats why manufactures cram a hell of a lot of connections

though in the age of HDMI there are still Component and Composite(RCA aka Yellow or Black with Red+White)

ang sinasabi mong OLED na ilalabas ng LG is the OLED 4k Ultra HDTV na super nipis but costs hundreds of thousands and consumes less power than standard LEDTVs

Samsung has SAMOLEDs that give DEEP BLACKs(nakikita kapag may black part sa screen or sa video na walang liwanag or puti) and Vibrant colors(some would say too Saturated) while those new OLEDs still might not bring the best blacks and colors but just brighter screens and washed out colors and blacks

an LCD/LED screen on a TV, Phone, Tablet or laptop

unang una bilin mo kung ano yung asa budget mo at merong kang specific na gusto pagipunan mo kesa magsisi ka dahil iba kasi nagtipid ka

5 AV cable slots??? you mean 5 Coaxial cables ang pwede ikabot dito??? VGA is a long dead connectivity option kaya halos wala ng bagong HDTV na may ganito puro DVI or HDMI na, 50hz??? ang minimum ng mga HDTV since they started being made is 60hz

the only thing Smart Tv offer is having Android, Internet apps and a price tag far more of just a Standard HDTV, a better solution would be getting a Standard TV with no internet capabilities and getting devices that convert Standard TVs into Smart TVs and those can be used on other HDTVs with HDMI

yup, they told me, wala talaga syang audio out, meaning pag mag play ka ng usb movie, at may home theater ka, nde mo mapapagana ung speakers mo, at magtyaga ka nalang sa speaker ng tv.. and also yes, 50hz daw sya, at ayun siguro ang disadvantages ng samsung 4009 kaya binaba nila ang presyo,. ewan ko ba, kung alam ba talaga ng salesman yung pinagsasabi nya,. bahala na,. anyways, thanks sa mga info..  finger4u

i think yung sinasabi nilang 50hz has to do with the Voltage and not the Refresh Rate, ang minimum kasi talaga is 60hz so sobrang pangit naman nung kung lower than 60hz pa

you realize it has SPDIF Digital output for 5.1 and a Headphone Jack for 2 to 2.1?

kaya wala sya RCA L/R output kasi meron na sya SPDIF for Digital and Headphone jack for ANALOG
