Apple products Yes or no?
« on: October 30, 2012, 02:08:46 pm »
pls be neutral no bias, no taking sides.

my first and only last experience with apple product is an ipod shuffle and itunes.

it ruined my computer dunno, but itunes makes copies of its own songs from your own library so pag nag search ka sa windows eh doble ung isang kanta. windows user nga pala ako, for now. so parang may hidden mini library ang itunes of copies. prob. imagine trying to organize. then putting songs to your ipod.

then its software itunes, ngayon ko lang nagamit. kelangan pala mag register super sosi parang high security. then akala ko madali lng gamitin kasi naghahanap ako ng instant messenger for ipad. dinownload ko sa computer. un pala kelangan ulit ihook up at download seperately sa device. ahh..anu batu

then its monthly updating, seriously bakit kelangan ulit ulitin idownload?

back to oldschool muna sa mp3. cd gamit ko ngayon. mabilis mag burn.

ung sa ipad nmn..nakakaduling gamitin at nakakatanglay. keyboard and ung menu.

ipod shuffle 30 minutes battery life.

di naman ako nagmamayabang porket apple. shinishare ko lang ixperience ko.

My Experiences with Apple
by St.Lucifer

Apple does not make good software. Case in point: that horrible iTunes they keep pushing on you. It's just as you said. It makes extra copies of the music you already have. It comes packaged with that horrible Quicktime player that only takes up space on your hard drive. I remember one time, if you weren't careful, it would fool you into downloading and installing their craptastic Safari browser. I remember a friend who bought a Macbook Pro. She wasn't very happy with OSX. She took it to me and we installed Vista on it. If you recall, Vista was supposedly the worst Microsoft had to offer at that time and it worked smooth as butter on Mac Hardware. After installing Vista I never saw her boot the machine to OSX as far as I remember.

My brother had one of the 1st gen shuffles. Somehow the firmware died and it got used as a glorified USB drive. I have a 2nd gen shuffle. I won it at a Xmas raffle. I used it for 2 weeks and went back to my Creative Zen MP3 player because of iTunes. The 2nd gen iPod is sitting in it's original packaging somewhere in my closet gathering dust.

The same friend who had a Macbook Pro (she's a rich girl) has been using an iPhone 4s. She said she jailbreaks it for it to work properly. Recently, she just gave me her iPod classic (5th gen) since she isn't using it. I did a little research and it turns out you can install custom firmware (Rockbox) on that iPod. After installing Rockbox it became a joy to use (it can now play FLAC).

My conclusion from my experiences with Apple are:
1. If you buy cheap, you get what you pay for.
2. Apple software is crap. Stay away from it.
3. If you can afford some of the higher end models and aren't afraid of modifying them they can be great products.

i am a 4s user... and i don't encounter what you are saying like duplicating songs in the library rather in the original folder... but if you are basing your judgment upon that circumstance, maybe i could say that the problem you are having was caused by mishandling of the software itunes..

and I must say this that the battery life of my phone is far inferior to nokia  ::lmao ::lmao

PERSONAL PREFERENCE and ACTUAL USE

ano ba mas gusto mo at para saan mo ba gagamitin

if you want APPLE and may budget ka GO! Why not diba?

kung medyo tight ang budget maraming Alternatives sa market na CLOSE TO but not the Same as what Apple offers

the worst feeling in the world is if you BUY SOMETHING ELSE instead of WHAT YOU REALLY WANT and seeing other people have WHAT YOU REALLY WANTED, yung tipong "Sana talaga yun na lang binili ko"

yes mas quality ang apple kesa samsung (direct competitor) i have a s3 and a iphone 4s s3 mabilis maganda problema is the quality kasi ampanget ng materials kasi plastic lang kumbaga ang mahal kaso di mo mafeel na mahal na klase ng samsung or smartphone kasi plastic lang on the other hand mas mabilis ang 4s at mas maganda ang built...kung sinuman aargue nito ok lang opinion ko lang din naman

Why do most of the Android users hates Apple products? Hindi naman kayo pinipilit bumili ng products nila diba? You're always saying that Apple is so expensive but lacks this and that and how Apple sucks compared to whatever device you have. Don't compare Apple with oranges.  ;)

yes mas quality ang apple kesa samsung (direct competitor) i have a s3 and a iphone 4s s3 mabilis maganda problema is the quality kasi ampanget ng materials kasi plastic lang

quality in terms of tibay? plastic doesnt necessarily mean sirain sya. this might change your mind.
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elKxgsrJFhw

talk about quality after watching that drop test.

apple products are OVERPRICED! you can get the same specs, quality and features or even better for half the price.

yung kaibigan ko nag hang yung iphone nya, hindi rin ma hard reset so inantay nalang nya ma drain ang battery. so no sms and calls for the whole day. that wont happen to samsung or even nokia cause if it hangs, if it does hang. you can simply remove the battery.

also i feel sorry for apple fanboys, lagi sila naiisahan ng apple. for example, SIRI used to be free and is compatible on most apple phones. when apple realized the earning potential of siri. they took it off the app store, rewrote the app so it wont work on any other apple device then relaunched it to be only compatible with the 4s.

also releasing a new phone every 6 months but with very little specs and feature improvement and still fanboys just throws money again and again. parang mga uto uto. lol

the only thing i like about apple products is its sleek and simple design.

if you have the money and doesnt mind paying double for minimal specs and features then go ahead and buy as much apple products as you want.

i want complicated products kase konti lang kami gagamit parang cult ika nga

Apple products are not that complicated really, in fact it boasts its simplicity in its user interface. A row of icons for programs, doesn't get much simpler than that. The cult thing was true before, but now I don't think so.

regarding OSX mahihirapan talaga friend mo kase kakaiba ang setup kaysa sa Microsoft some IT consultant says mas secure yan  kumpara sa Microsoft

It is true that OSX's GUI is different from Windows but with little effort you can get used to it, on the other hand it's not more secure than a Windows OS.

@topic
If you really want one, buy one, but before you do, get some research done about it. Try it side by side with other similar products and compare them, read some reviews and check for usual complaints (genuine product related complaint, not fanboy rants).

The fact na mahirap gamitin makes it horrible.

i have ipod shuffle wala naman na-encounter na problem hanggang ngayon buhay pa

The iPod Shuffle was actually more complicated than my Zen Stone. My main problem with the shuffle was there was no display. I couldn't select the music I wanted to play. Also the sound quality of the shuffle was horrible. You needed a special charger for the shuffle gen 2. You couldn't even switch EQ settings on the shuffle.

IMO OSX is dumbf*ck retarded. Nahihirapan ang friend ko kasi hindi niya magamit yung ibang programs na kailangan niya. That's why she had me install Vista.

IT consultants say mas secure ang OhSh*tX?! Which "IT consultants" have you been talking to? Apple's security policy seems to be "Security thru Obscurity". Do you remember the DNS exploit that affected every operating system? Can you guess who was the last to release a patch? Do you know how long it takes to hack a OSX? ] In terms of security, do you know how far Apple is behind Microsoft?

*Hwah*

I didn't say they were both complicated. I was making a comparison between a shuffle and a zen stone.

The shuffle is more complicated than the stone. Why? Walang display. There is no simple way of navigating to an album or artist you want to listen to. Puro >> or << para mahanap yung type mong song. Pwede kang mag load ng playlist, pero sa itunes mo gagawin.

Charging? Kailangan mo pa ng special charger for the 2nd gen shuffle.

I'll admit that sound quality might be subjective. Mas prefer ko yung stone kasi pwede mo i-adjust yung EQ on the go. Yung sa shuffle sa itunes mo pa i-seset.
