Topic: 800mb Globe Tattoo 3g sickness

Does anyone here experience whenever you exceed 800mb using Globe tattoo 3g subscription of local browsing is temporarily stop? How can you avoid this kind of internet service from Globe.

this isnt anything new, GLOBE always had 800mb limit/day on prepaid boradband sticks for years now, its how they control/moderate the data packet flow so that there is no excess of users to prevent congestion since Broadband data much like a road will have a slower flow of traffic if too many cars(or users) using one road, if you want to get passed the per day  data cap of 800mb you have to go postpaid or go DSL

ang tawag nila dito si fair usage policy. medyo unfair nga kasi kala mo ang niload mo is "unlimited" yun pala up to 800mb worth of data downloaded lang pala. that means kung halimbawa madalas ka mag youtube, ubos agad yan

pag postpaid ata nila wala yang limit na yan. although I'm not sure since I have never tried globe tattoo stick

misleading ads nga kaso di mo nabasa yung policy or yung services mismo matatalo ka dun sabi ng mga IT consultant before ka gumamit ng services ng isang ISP alamin mo muna ng mga policy

magpalit ka na lang ng ISP

commonly mga surfing  clients nila yun mga mahilig magchat or facebook na di nag-download or di nanunuod palagi ng youtube

actually they define unlimited as the NUMBER OF HOURS you can surf since in the Philippines people used to pay for Internet at home on monthly basis PLANS by a number of hour and PC shop rentals are charged per hour so technically it is unlimited surfing as long as you dont download more than 800mb/day

Sticks are designed for on the go surfing. Surf anywhere ika nga. They said unlimited surfing and not downloading (hehe).
Kung puro surfing ka lang hindi mo mauubos ang 800mb per day basta walang streaming at file downloading.

Marketing strategy yan, pag di ka satisfied sa 3G, get WiMax or Wired broadband otherwise stay tuned as always.

Hindi naman misleading ang ads nila i think. Hindi lang natin naintindihan ang concept malamang.

Inorder to make my 50php unli download more than 800mb I usually register at night then download ako until nagsesend na ang globe ng message like "you have reached the 800mb capacity" tapos dun I'll wait until 12 midnight kasi parang nagrereset ata sila. Then I can donwload again another 800mb data. Hope this helps sa mga taong di pa nakaka-alam. If meron pa po kayong nalalaman na way except those "free-internet" exploits, please share it.

hindi po. unless kung papalitan nila ang device ko (stick or dongle). pero balak ko mag-upgrade ng may wifi. eheheh.
or baka kumuha ako nung tablet sa kanila for casual use lang sa bahay.

Question: Siguro, discreet or hindi lang talaga transparent ang mga network providers pagdating sa mga policies nila. meron ba talagang cap o wala ang mga post paid subscribers for mobile data plan? Kasi kung may cap even sa mga post paid, mag tyaga na lang ako kumuha ng witribe sa lappy ko at mag wifi.  Kaso lng, hindi nman lagi avail ang wifi eh. kaya importante pa rin na pwdeng gamitin mobile network. Kung sakaling walang cap, ideal ba na kumuha lang ng post paid subcription na may phone or ung line lang? I've already contact Globe and Smart, wala sila parehong direktang sagot sa direktang tanong. Pilit nilang pinapaintindi ung fair usage policy ek ek. Nabwisit lang ako sa CC rep na nakausap ko, halatang walang alam at canned ang mga responses.
