After watching him and seeing all those negative comments about what he did and said during the interview, naturally, people will react to it in a way that will show that they can do better and deal with the situation much better than him.

What could you have done if you were in his place? Could you really handle that situation? Of course you can...

He may have acted arrogantly, but only those who was on the receiving end of his arrogance, has the right to disrespect him (in a way).

Some of us may have done something as stupid as this one but may be lucky enough not to have a TV reporter and cameraman standing by to witness that stupidity.

I am not trying to defend him, but after all that has been said about him, he really needed a break from all of these.

After all, to err is human...

On the one hand, I feel sorry for him. The fellow had a bad day that was caught on camera and aired on television. Now he's the butt of so many jokes and jibes that it isn't even all that funny anymore. Personally, I think people should ease up on him already. Teaching someone humility by humiliating them has a tendency to make them even more arrogant than before.

On the other hand (if he's been driving long enough), he should've noticed that his wheels were already half-submerged even though he hadn't even gotten midway into the flood. In which case (discretion being the better part of valor), he should've backed out while he had the chance. And I did notice a few people standing around near the headwaters of the flood so, at the very least, he should've asked them how deep the water was.

Perhaps he might be interested in purchasing this car (or one like it) for driving during heavy rain?

Isang issue lang po.  Why need to label the "chinoy"?

Si Jose Rizal na ginamit mo na quote instik.

Just to give you something to think about.  Chinese citizen dito sa pinas ay 60,000 lang.  Pero people with Han (and other ethnic group from various lands of PROC and Taiwan) ancestry ay umaabot from a minimum of 30% (full or partial) up to a high of 80%.  Ang sabi nga nila sa school: experts can't determine the exact measurement due to the integration, immigration, and assimilation of different groups here in the Philippines since ancient times.

Kung si Christopher Lao lang ang may sala wag mo na isama UP or Chinoys.  Baka hindi mo lang alam like Jose Rizal, Chinoy ka rin pala.
