"Are You Ready For Some Football?"
« on: July 27, 2011, 08:55:50 am »
After almost five months of worrying whether or not there would be any games on the gridiron, fans of the National Football League (NFL) rejoiced with the announcement that the stalemate between the NFL owners and the Players Association (the NFLPA) was finally broken and that the season-threatening lockout was ended.

The NFL's 92nd season kicks off at the legendary Lambeau Field on September 8 as the Green Bay Packers begin their defense of the championship they won at Superbowl XLV against the New Orleans Saints.

Speaking of disagreements over budgets and financial crises...the end of the NFL lockout might be seen as an example for others to emulate.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said it best during the press conference held to announce the resumption of the U.S. football season: "I hope we gave a little lesson to the people in Washington because the debt ceiling is a lot easier to fix than this was."
