Jose Rizal also known in Masonry as Dimasalang has been an active Mason during his time... Just recently he celebrated his 150th birthday and Filipinos around the world commemorates his sacrifices to our nation... A lot of books have been written about his life, works and ideals but only few wrote about his involvement in Masonry... It was the teachings of Masonry that opened Rizal and our heroes in the past about equality...

Yesterday, there was a special on ABSCBN that tackles the role of Freemasonry to the History of the Philippines and how our country is filled with symbols of Masons... Here is the link of that video... toast::
