Sino ang pinakatamad na SENATOR??

Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago has topped the list of senators who filed the most number of legislations in the Senate.

A document from the Senate legislative bills and index service indicated that Santiago topped the 23 incumbent senators with 882 measures (758 bills and 124 resolutions) filed in the 15th Congress.

In a statement, Santiago said she “worked (her) ass off" in filing bills because she wants to send the message that the main task of the Senate is legislation and not criminal investigation.

“A public hearing on a controversial issue generates a lot of publicity, but usually the result is merely a recommendation to the Ombudsman. By contrast, internet research is very quiet and solitary, but one bill could make a difference in the lives of people," she said.

Among the controversial measures filed by Santiago in the 15th Congress is the Senate’s version of the Reproductive Health bill, Senate Bill 2378 or “An Act Providing for a National Policy on Reproductive Health and Population and Development."

Other senators

Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada was second in the list with 581 files measures (553 bills, 27 resolutions) followed by Sen. Manuel Villar Jr. with 539 (395 bills, 144 resolutions). The rest are as follows:

13-14. Franklin Drilon — (45 (23 bills, 22 resos) and Vicente Sotto III — 45 (10 bills, 35 resos)

15 Francis Pangilinan — 43 (15 bills, 28 resos)

16-17. Juan Ponce Enrile — 40 (18 bills, 22 resos) and Teofisto Guingona III — 40 (13 bills, 27 resos)

nag explain nyan dati si joker arroyo kung bakit ang konte ng finafile nyang bills

kasi raw pag nag file siya bill, need niya support ng ibang senators para maipasa yun, so those senators will also expect the same from him pag sila naman daw nagfile ng bill.

In my opinyon kahit gaano karami Bills or Resolutions ng isang mambabatas di mo alam baka meron din silang vested interest sila rin nakikinabang, mga lobbyist dyan nagkalat yung iba mismo ay yung mambabatas acting as lobbyist.

Like the RH Bill in my opinyon kailangan talaga dahil sa dimakontrol na population natin their is no harm in trying another methods.  Pero bilyones ang pinag-uusapan dito taon2x, iisipin mo lng mga kickbacks to all contracts from companies providing those contraceptives, information campaigns, at ang nasa likod ng mga lobbyist ngayon para mapasa yung bill na yan di kaya naka-allocate na sinong boboto nyan na sang-ayon.

and hindi sa dami ng naifile na bills makikita ang kahusayan ng isang mambabatas...

malay mo kahit isa lang ang naifile ng isang senator pero yun pala ang kaisa isang sagot para sa lahat ng problema natin  ;)

and kahit pa maipasa lahat ng bills na yan at maging mga BUTAS este BATAS....kung hindi rin maayos ang pagpapatupad...sa tingin ba natin makakatulong sa atin? sa tingin ko hindi rin.... smoking::

Most senators lalo na yung hindi naman talaga nila field ang maging pulitiko eh may mga sarili silang staff consist of lawyers and marunong sa batas.  Mga staff nila ang gumagawa nun hindi sila mismo parang spokesperson lang sila pagdating sa plenaryo.  Bilang lang talaga dyan kung sino mismo ang gumagawa ng batas and 100% sure si Miriam isa dyan.

madami ako ka kilala si senate. Tamad daw talaga si Joker. In fact may budget for staff at office. Less than 5 lang staff nya. Tapos panay tulog daw si Joker. If you notice sa hearing kahit na tanong na tinatanong ulit ni Joker. Excuse lang nya yan. If he cant hack it he should resign, because ang primary function talaga nang senators is to make laws.


Matanda? - aba madami din naman na gawang bill si Johnny at si Jovy Salonga dati.

Kung quality naman - lalabas pa rin na sobrang tamad si Joker. Magaling lang talaga mag pintas.
Pati slogan nya hindi na niya sinusunod, yung kapag bad ka na slogan. Really disappointing. He sometimes even sound like a lawyer of some personalities.

Actually comment ko dtan ang legislations kasi di dinadala sa paramihan ng pag file ng mga bills. Marami sa mga nag pa files puro recycled lg sa mga lumang bills at marami irrelevant at wala kwenta.

In my opinion 3 constitutional tasks talaga ang trabaho ng mga Senators: 1. lawmaking, 2. representation an 3. oversight.
Importante sa law making yung pag pasa ng quality legislations na it will address the country's current problems. dami na natin batas na hindi na iimplement at ang iba wala funds. karamihan sa mga nag papafile ng mga bills puro granstanding tapos di naman naipapasa. ako sa tingin dapat magsipag ang mga senators sa committee level. doon nila pagaraln ang mga bills.

At yung measurement natin kg gaano sila kasipag dapat tingnan natin sa quality ng bills na sinusundan nila at sa mga floor debates. doon mo makikita kg gaano sila ka active sa floor deliberations at yung galing nila sa pag pasok sa mga amendment kaysa sa dami na pag file at puro press releases lg.

Kaya ako bilib ako dyan kay Sen serge Osmena, Sen. Angara, Sen. drilon, Sen enrile at Sen Santiago. Sila yun naghihimay at talagang nagpapaganda ng mga bills at hindi puro grandstanding lg at press releases. pag nakita nyo at napakingan nyo si Sen Osmena talagananga kayo at hindi mahilig mag press release.

si joker resolution pa ang ginagawa wala man lang bill

Si miriam kaya number 1 sa bagal ng pagpasa ng mga bills e nagkakaroon ng backlog sa office nya so kapag konti lang nakalusot e recycled ulit so aabot ulit ng 800+ baka after 3 year e umaabot yan ng 1k

pagalingan lang yan ng staff. Most if not all bills are recycled! Yung mga hindi na approved kahit nung ko[ong kopong pa..nasa archive lahat ng House.....magaling lang yung mga staff mag research then konting palit sa mga minor provisions then "WALA' they have a new bill na to which they principally author.

just like above said..its the quality than the quantity.

bka makalbo yan pinakatamad senador, kc meron precedent nangyari  ??? naku po, sana wag candidate yan pinakatamad senador 4 president, kc bka manalo  laffman:: pls lang wag po mangyari history repeating itself in 2016 presidential election  ;D
