neither... right now anyway, wag ka muna bumili ng Galaxy tab or iPad kasi sa MWC or mobile world conference iintroduce na mga 2nd gen ng devices na yan (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 running nVidia's Tegra 2 1ghz Dual Core Cpu and the iPad 2 rumored to be packing front and rear cams + a multicore CPU) kaya pag dating ng mid 2011 mga june or july pag nirelease na sila they will be the price of whats available now and yung mga 1st gen devices BABABA ang presyo... so my suggestion is wait and be patient

basically, if you want more real estate (i.e. bigger screen size), you go for the iPad. another advantage it has is that Apple's App Store has thousands of apps for you to choose from.

advantage? android has hundreds of thousands of apps...

also you can make and receive phone calls and sms messages on the Galaxy tab

ill go for Android anytime of the day!

My brother has an ipad and i have may G-TAB. Comparing it, halos wala namang pinagkaiba. Both are smooth running. The Tab acting as a phone is a plus for me cause of my job. And don't treat androids app store as a complete hokum. It has thousands of apps too, some of which are not available on the apple store.

if i were to choose i go for ipad. mas may quality ang mga apps. since free ang android apps, most of them are crap. you go for the quality not the quantity. and bro para mong kinumpara LAMBORGHINI sa BMW. you go for iPAD. worth it! hindi bumababa presyo ng apple items. anyway i'm biased. i'm just loving my effin itouch 4g.

love my galaxy tab.

somebody said na walang quality ang apps nang android dahil free? just because it is free it does not mean that it is of low quality. besides some of this free apps, you can pay for the paid version. also there are other great apps that you can pay.

sa mga media no problem. just copy and paste no need to pass thru itunes. it can play almost all kinds of media. rm, rmvb, avi, 3gp. I can even play mkv.

Its also a phone.

Another plus is the sd card expansion. Ipad and Iphone dont have sd card expansion slot. although there are rumors that Ipad 2 might have and sd card or even a usb slot.
so merong 16 gb on the tab + 16 gb or 32 gb sd microsd. You can have a usable space of 32 or 48 gb.

oh did we mention with a a Galaxy Tab or any other Android Tablet you can browse the net with the ability for FULL FLASH CONTENT without needing to install 3rd party browsers like Skyfire(which i doubt works outside North America) i mean you can go to a Megavideo link and watch it straight there, sa cellphone na nga lang ako nanonood ng series right now since my pc hasnt been reassembled yet

oh yeah Scatch resistant ang LCD ng Galaxy tab kaya no need for a screen protector

im holding back on getting a tablet kahit $599 na lang dito sa US ang mga Galaxy Tab, i wana get a Dual Core Dell Streak 7 or an LG G-slate(glassless 3D capable)

Dell Streak 7 yes pero Streak 5... wala hangang 2.3 lang ito and its too small, 7" is the best size for a tablet, 10" like the iPad in my opinion is too big, i want something big enough to read without needing to zoom in and at the same time very portable

REMINDERS sa prospective Android Tablet buyers:

3.0 Honeycomb will REQUIRE a DUAL CORE CPU like the new Tegra 2s (the current 1ghz version and the incoming 1.2 by the end of the year) so getting a any single core Android Tablet like the Galaxy Tab right now might hinder you from getting and Honeycomb sweetness

you don't need to "jailbreak" an android to get free apps. you can get it directly from the market. "jailbreaking" or rooting your android will give you kernel level access to the OS, you can have access what services you would like to add/remove.

Dell Streak 7 will come out Feb 2 at a $450 price tag running the Tegra 2 Dual core cpu

although it only has a 800x480 screen and 2000 mAh battery running Froyo 2.2(for now) its a really cheap option having GSM and HSDPA capabilities, i might get this if the LG G-slate is above the $600 margin

LG G-slate has 2 cameras at the back for 3D photography and is rumored to be 3D capable without needing 3d glasses

para sakin tol.. ipad ako.. iba padin gamitin ang ipad.. un nga lang my kamahalan .. kung my pera kanaman ipad na.. galaxy tab naman.. ok sana kong nasakanya ung new android version.. eh hindi hehehe.. kaya ndi ko like.. pero ok ndin un average lang siya... mas madaming free apps ang android.. yung my mga bayad sa apple sa android halos lahat FREE its FREE... hehehe.. mahirap mamili.. pero nasayo yan.. parehas my advantage at diss advantage yang dalawa... but still ipad ako.. for my opinion.. just sharing.. sana nakatulong..

thats would be the iPad Wifi only qith 16gb memory vs the 32gb Galaxy Tab 3G ready(call and text capable) hehehe
