with the coming Automated Election knocking at our doorsteps, i have several concerns which I want to share with our co-espiyas.  Im sure there are also concerns being raised by others and as such, I would want it rolling for us to shed some light.

my first question would be the PCOS machine, the one used to scan your accomplished ballot.  Watched sa ANC, maybe three (3) weeks ago na medyo mapili itong PCOS when it comes to how you shade your votes.  The resource person said na dapat fully-shaded yung oval na katapat ng tao na gusto mo iboto.  pwede nga raw lumampas sa oval, basta huwag ka lang lalampas dun sa mismong box. dun pa lang medyo may question na ako.  hindi ba nila pwedeng gawing may tolerance kahit konti?  lets say kahit mga 90% shaded yung area, consider na niya yun as choice mo? 

in the case of President, Vice-President, Governor, Vice-Governor and other post wherein you should only make one choice, marking two ovals would invalidate your vote for said position.  I totally agree on that.  Makes sense naman.  now here is the funny part.  say you already shaded one oval for the presidential position and accidentally placed a dot on another oval for another presidentiable (maliit lng na dot), then your vote for the presidential position is already invalid.  eto na ang tanong ko, bakit yung say 95% shaded na oval hindi niya tinatanggap, pero yung dot sa naulit na boto for the same position, nakikita niya at na-iinvalid nga yung boto mo?  wala lang, i just find the logic there very funny.  pero pag tumatagal ko iniisip, medyo disturbing na.  kasi pag ganun, hindi malayong mangyari na magkaroon ng failure of election. 

HAIZZZ, sana nga dalasan pa ang voters education ng comelec.

actually, 50% lang ng nung itlog ang kailangan mong i-shade, mababasa na sya ng PCOS.. at bilang voter, responsibility mo na ingatan yung ballot mo.. kaya pag isang mark lang ang kailangan, isa lang ang lalagyan mo.. pag nalagyan ng kahit anong extra markings yung ibang itlog, di na tatanggapin yung vote mo for that position..

In my opinion, MARAMI po ang masasayang na boto. anticipate na natin na maraming boto ang di maka count lalo dun sa areas na madami ang tao na medyo mahina sa pang intindi at di nakapag aral. a PCOS machine ballots is only intended for a single voter.( wala na po allotment for mistakes) so what more can you expect. Sana gradual na lang ito inimplement. a fine example i can relate is during the introduction of LOTTO, wherein bago nasanay na magguhit ng mga numbers ang tao eh marami muna nasayang na lotto cards. kasi di nila maintindihan agad kung panu magsulat(di pa ganun sensitive machine un ha, panu na lang itong mga PCOS.)plus the pressure pag nasa loob ka na ng polling places.

Ito lang naman eh view ko.

ideally, more than 50% should already be considered by the machine as a vote.  however it is not the case.  kahit nga dun sa voters information drive ng comelec recently, yung isang nagboto, sinadya niya na crooked yung pagvovote niya and may mga naiwan sa side and it can be said na mga 80% shaded ang ginawa niya, ayun, hindi tinanggap ng PCOS yung vote niya dun.
