Mati City Mayor Michelle Rabat feels sorry for the New People's Army (NPA) rebels who can no longer come to the city proper for rest and recreation following the killing of PO3 Alfredo Salva on June 7 at the terminal area.

Rabat said the city had been a safe sanctuary for the NPA, which they abused when they attacked and killed the policeman.

Rabat revealed that her father, the late mayor Francisco Rabat, had an understanding with the rebels to spare Mati from rebel atrocities and they could safely stay in Mati in return.

She said she just continued that understanding with the rebels upon her assumption four years ago.

..easier said than done bro...i bet you haven't experience being in a real gun fight..if you watched closely, mukhang wala ring armas yung police woman..kung nag-stay sya, dagdag lang sya sa statistics ng casualty..malay mo naman kung humingi sya ng responded after nya nakatakas..hinay-hinay lang sa comment bro.

The fact that we have ARMED rebel forces existing freely in this country whether it's the NPA,MILF,etc.. What would you expect???  Common citizens caught with an illegal firearm or ammunition have to face jail time. But it's okay for rebel groups to exist and carry firearms???
Corruption? Disoriented values? The fact that most warlord/politicians use armed groups for their gain, or that some generals directly order rebel attacks for additional funding, or that most local leaders today are obvious rebel leaders, or we now have the most number of NPA/left senators & congressmen?  ALL OF THE ABOVE!

It really doesn't take a genius to see that our country is not going on the right direction in terms of peace & order.  gun::

dapat talaga mabuwag na yang liderato /grupong NPA dahil kung walang nagsusupply ng pera dyan na mga politiko ,at mga taong kelngan ng proteksyon ay hindi maglalalaks loob yang mga yan, beside mislead na ang mga member kaya sila andyan kasi they gain, wala ng direksyon. tama they turn to become terrorist

well, nangyari na rin eh. pero yun ang maaaring pakay nila talaga. dahil kita na rin sa video na biglang hinablot ng isa yung baril ng pulis which is nagreact agad at nagpaputok. ayun. barilan na.
mga tanga din eh. kung gusto lang nila kunin yung baril, bakit harapan eh nakita na nga nilang rifle ang gamit? whew.

NPA lang kasi ang Human the rest hindi. Tsaka HR atty po ng mga NPA. Tropa kasi ni Joma ang mga yan.
