New storms may hit RP: PAGASA

MANILA - The Philippines could be hit with a new typhoon as it struggles to cope with the worst flooding in more than 40 years, the government's weather forecaster said Monday.

A tropical depression and a low-pressure area were both in the Pacific Ocean and heading in the Philippines' direction, said weather station forecaster Nathaniel Cruz.

"There is the very big possibility (the tropical depression) could further intensify into a typhoon," he said in a television interview.

"We will closely monitor this," said Cruz.

di natantyan ng PAGASA na ganun kadami ang inulan na tubig ni ondoy kahit na tropical storm lang siya

sabi nang PAG ASA a total of 20 typhoons will hit Philippines before this yr ends. pang ilan na ba si Ondoy?

ecologically speaking normal typhoon lang yan

ang nagiging problema yung mga catch basin e tinatayuan ng mga bahay, tinataas yung bahay nila at naglalagay ng mga barrier ang tendency hindi nakakalabas ang tubig ng maayos papunta sa dagat at hahanap ito ng bagong daan na ang mga dating hindi binabaha ay babahain

sabi sa Baguio binaha na napaka-impossibleng mangyari ang sagot maraming mining activity so yung normal na daan ng tubig ay nasira

ang catch basin sa NCR ay ang malabon pero dahil madaming nakatirik na bahay yung congested ang daluyan ng tubig at na-aggravate pa ng mga basura

Ang Pilipinas ay maaaring tamaan ng panibagong bagyo habang ito ay nagsisikap na pakitunguan ang pinakamalalang pagbaha na nangyari muli katulad noong 40 taon na ang nakalilipas.

its "pepeng" natawa nga ako ng marinig ko sa news kanina yung name. pero di nakakatawa yung lakas nya. 120kph sustained winds and gustiness of 150kph.

for storm watchers at sa hindi pa nakakaalam, meron na pong website ang pag-asa:

dyan ako kumukuha ng update nung kay ondoy kung nasaan na yung position nya last saturday
