Broken, the man is.
Seemingly in control,
  but  is  hollow within.
Indescribable sorrows, dire misery-
They take away Life from
   the grasp of his hands.

Smiling, but feigning sadness,
He continues.
Only his mind knows
The thinness of the air he breathes,
The pale, insipid blood
   that runs in his veins.
