NBA star Kevin Durant, created this pair of peanut butter and jelly shoes (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2465980/Running-PB-J-Peanut-butter-jelly-sandwiches-inspire-Nikes-latest-sneakers.html)as part of a collaboration with Nike. Durant said he was inspired by his favorite food, which he evidently wanted to wear on his feet.
“Coming back from kindergarten, first [and] second grade, my aunt Pearl would always make me peanut butter and jelly sandwiches,†he said. “It was the food I ate all the time… [so] I wanted to bring that out within this shoe.â€
The limited-edition shoes go on sale today at Nike.com for $130. The peanut butter and jelly-inspired gold and raspberry colorway also made it onto a pair of $18 basketball socks.
