A Filipino company named JP Factory, located in the Southern city of Bacolod, has developed a prototype submachine gun chambered in 9mm. It uses Glock magazines, has quad rails and a folding stock. Interestingly, it uses an AR-15 trigger mechanism.

not convinced on this. could've forged parts in bigger pieces. makes more rigid. if i could invent a close quarter SMG, it would be incredibly light. just look at eu smg's some look like toy gun on a stick. some are even deadly accurate. like the mp7. depends on the design.
