In the sense that kailangan din natin ng fiscalizers in Congress, they should be there.  May prinsipyo at batayan lagi ang anumang pag angal nila.  Kung hindi ka naman aangal eh parang you tolerate shenanigans in government.  In the first place, sila lang naman ang group na may political ideology at hindi pwedeng mabiling boto unlike most congressmen or senators na for sale ang boto sa taga malakanyang.  Kung mag spearhead man sila ng rally, public expression of dissent is tolerated and allowed under our Constitution.  Everybody should remember that nagsimula ang pagbagsak ni Mr. Andy dahil sa sunod sunod na rally. Bumagsak si Erap dahil din sa rally ng mga tao to oust him.  Hindi masama ang mag rally because that is just a collective expression. 

Secondly, wala ng communist ngayon.  Anybody who says so does not seem to be reading history books or updated sa current events.  Even China is now a capitalist country. So is Russia.  You can not equate dissent with a propaganda brand.  Hindi tama at fair to accuse someone of being a communist dahil lamang sa pag angal nito sa mga kalokohan sa pamahalaan.  Pag umangal ka ba sa mga summary killings tulad ng ginagawa nila Palparan ay komunista ka na?  So para hindi ka matawag na komunista ay hindi ka na aangal at ok lang na may pagpapatayin silang mga kabataan, ganun ba?

With all due respect, m'sieur, I would have to disagree with the above statement. The supposed security that prevailed at that time was patently false and illusory.

I say let him come home and let him run for whatever political office that he wants. If there are enough people who believe in him, then he'll win; if not, then he won't. And if there are enough people who dislike him, then I'm sure they'll be more than willing to throw him out of office like they did with Marcos the Elder and Joseph Estrada.

Even if we follow the ideology of Joma and study marxism or leninism or what we term before as kaisipang Mao Tse Tung, communism is a far stage after the destruction of capitalism and socialism.  In fact, ang gusto namin nuon ay National Democracy which is a stage after the destruction of capitalism.  Unfortunately, nagkaroon ng historical movements, nagkaroon ng world trade organization at meron globalization, floating exchange and with the advent of the internet where knowledge became available to everybody, pati mga supposed "communist" countries ay naging kapitalista.  So anyone who says meron "communism" does not know what he is talking about.  Walang bansa ang nakarating sa stage ng "communism" - an ideal stage na parang utopia.

Due to the Cold War, part ng propaganda ng America ang paggamit ng salitang "communism" to characterize those countries that are not within their ambit na Free World daw.
