CDBOOT Code Error

I was trying to install Windows XP Pro sa harddisk ng fren ko.. but everytime na mag boboot na sya sa CD ROM laging error so akala ko CD installer ko ang sira so ang ginawa namin nag pa burn kami ng copy ng XP Pro para ma try kung ung CD ung sira... but unluckily ganun pa ren ang error... is it possible na ung CD ROM mismo ang sira?? Or may mali sa BIOS?? need help po !!!

sa boot settings bro na configure mo na 1st boot device ang cd?... maari din na harddisk ang may problema bro...

is the cd you have bootable. u only mentioned na nagpaburn kayo ng copy ng XP. was it a bootable copy?

same with win98, bootable ba yung version cd? baka installation files lang andun sa cd, no boot files

bootable po ung CD... possible ba na harddisk ang sira? kasi i replaced it with a harddisk na may OS na and still boot error pa ren... tapos nagtuloy naman sya sa windows after reading what's inside the cd rom

nope, hindi pwedeng hard drive ang sira nyan kung nakaktuloy sa windows after hindi mabasa yung bootable cd mo

it could be that madumi yung cd lens mo. have you tried to access the files inside the cd while in windows? nakikita mo naman laman ng cd?

have you checked your boot priority? una ba talaga sa CD ang boot priority?

so ang pinakamalaking possibility na sira is ung CD ROM?? sure po ako na CD ROM ang 1st boot device kasi after ng restart lumalabas po ung Message na "Boot from Atapi Cd Rom".... try ko palitan ung CD ROM...

Try isolating the problem by using another cdrom.
