Cannot ping my own IP Address

this is weird, i can't ping my own IP that's why di ako makapag broadcast ng streaming...

firewall is off, anti virus is off, and im not using any router....

any ideas?

balak ko sana para sa nalalapit nating christmas party, just like last year....

kaso problema ko itong connection ko, sayang naman kung di ko magagamit...

hindi ko ma ping IP ko, static siya eh and im using smart bro na 2mbps...

ok naman ang connection ko and wala akong reklamo, in fact ayos na ayos siya, eto lang talaga problema ko di ko siya ma ping.....

ano ano ba mga reason's aside sa mga nabanggit ko na sa itaas kaya di ko ma ping IP ko?

nagpalit kasi ako ng ISP eh, pero dati dun sa ginagamit kong ISP ok naman siya, walang problema...

hindi kaya sa current ISP ko ito?

kung ang problem mo lang di mo maping sarili mo pero may connection ka naman, patry mo sa iba na iping yung IP mo.

tingin ko nga bro sa ISP mo yan, since sa pagkakaalam ko shared IP ang smartbro kaya cguro disable ang ping and traceroute dyan...pero kong corporate account yan pwede mo ireklamo sa smartbro.

makapasok kba sa run>msconfig? or run>gpedit.msc? or open task manager (ctrl+alt+del)?

did you say smartbro ang ISP mo? yun na ang sagot. since sa smartbro setup, ang IP add mo is kung baga LAN number lang. what were you trying to ping? try pinging 127.0.0.1, yan dapat may reply diyan na < 1 ms. try to also get the assigned IP to you (i.e. 192.168.xxx.xx) and try to ping that.

or you can also try to ping sites like yahoo or google. pag may reply then it means port 80 is ok (http port) and may internet ka

the external IP you use, you have no control over that. this also means no matter what setting you do that will affect your connection it wont work since it will be rejected on the ISP side (i.e. port forwaring).

i tried na i ping yung smart share it router nila (192.168.1.1) and may reply naman... also other sites so im sure ok ang port 8080...

weird lang kasi after i portforward ko yung 8080 and 9300, close pa din daw yun or blocked using port scanner...

iniisip ko rito, since shared ang IP ng mga Smart subscribers, kapag nagbigay ako ng link para maka connect sa akin ( yung link ko ay yung IP ko ) ay hindi sila maka connect, siguro dahil nga sa dami naming gumagamit ng specified IP... kumbaga nalilito yung ISP ng subscriber kung kanino kokonek since andami namin...

i tried everything pero wala talaga....

pwede ba ako mag request sa smart bro ng specified IP ko? yung akin lang?

ganyan kasi dati ang set up ko using PLDT Dsl, and wala namang problema....

sayang, ambilis pa naman ng smartbro ngayon........  ???

Di mo magagawa yan sa SmartBro.

check the difference.

http://myipaddress.com - public IP

tapos compare in to your IP add ng PC mo. if the same lang sila since wala ka namang router then pwede if notmeans naka private IP ka from SmartBro.

iba setup ng smart bro compared to pldt dsl

open ang pldt dsl (you can port forward, etc etc)

sa smartbro, only certain ports are open. hindi ka rin pwede mag request na ipa open mo ang isang port for your use (hindi sila papayag)
