of course mas maganda yung auto connect, hindi ka na mamoblema. pero depende sa ISP yan eh. usually kasi pag dynamic IP yung setup mo, login basis talaga yan. every time you log in, bago IP mo. pag static, yan yung auto connect (meaning ganun na lagi ang IP mo so no need to reconnect

kapag pambahay, PPPoE - auto connect

pag marami ka naman ikakabit, bridge, tapos router para madami ka maikabit na PC. kung pwede na rin router yang modem mo, mas ok pa rin na gumamit ka ng router. di ganoon kaganda yung router features ng mga modem ng PLDT or ng Bayantel

pppoe na auto connect or always on like ung binigay ng pldt samin na modem, akala nila nde ko mabubutingting hehe

configure ur modem's connectivity setting by accessing it through ur web browser like IE, firefox or Opera usually by typing 10.0.0.138 on ur address bar, the connection part should offer multiple methods of connectivity including pppoe with a user name and password, just set it up to be "always on" and everytime ur modem is turned on it will connect itself to ur isp, considering our modem is 3 houses away from my house and is on the 2nd floor of that house i access the modem via browser to restart it(to bypass megaupload and rapidshare wait times) and get an IP reset

bridge setup(and pldt) will force u to have a dial up configuration and a dial up icon on ur desktop to ensure only 1 pc(who 1st dialed up) had the only access to the net(assuming u r in a network) coz that's the only way for them to prevent consumers from splitting the ISP onto network into multiple terminals which IS LEGAL
