At the risk of spoiling the plot (although I think longtime Avengers fans already know the basic premise and the post-credit scenes in the other movies kind of gave the story away), Loki tricked the Hulk into making trouble so Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Black Widow were sent by Nick Fury to stop him. They eventually realized that Loki only wanted a distraction because he was planning to steal the Cosmic Cube (the artifact that the Red Skull was using to power HYDRA's weapons) so that he could use it to overthrow Odin and rule both Asgard and Earth. This, of course, leads to the six heroes joining forces (along with SHIELD) to stop Loki before he succeeds in using the Cube's power to accomplish his plans.

Then there are the Skrulls, a race of shapeshifting aliens long rumored (and sometimes verified) to be in the movie.
Notice the lasers destroying the cars, policemen shooting upwards, and the heroes looking up in the sky.

I didn't watched THOR & also CAPTAIN AMERICA (flop ito sa mga countries na against US foreign policies, at sino na lang ba ang di galit sa America nowadays?), I'm not a big fan of the HULK franchise either but I just like IronMan, tapos dinagdag pa sa part 2 ang buttilicious na si Scarlett J., wapak, ::inlove.
So I'll wait for this movie in wide screen definitely. :applause

If you find the Marvel Universe Classic Avengers action figure box set at the toy section of your favorite mall, it has a summary of how they got together in the comics. ;D
Something tells me that the Red Skull might not be one of the primary antagonists in this movie but he might show up in a sequel. In which case, my guess is that the storyline for one of the sequels will be Skull impersonating some high-level U.S. government official who wants the Avengers disbanded.
Speaking of speculation (and this one will be really wild)...who among my fellow Espiyas wants this to happen?
