: need help : Suggest a good LED TV
: Dairycow December 25, 2013, 10:17:06 AM

Merry Christmas!

or dito mamili ka, may buy 1 take 1 offer yata sila  ::laffman

S&S (http://www.tipidpc.com/useritems.php?username=sightsandsoundsph)

Try mo Skyworth since Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) sila. unlike DeVant na from what i've "heard" rebranded TV sila.

some tips lang

1) get an LED TV not LCD, magkaiba ang power consumption
2) get atleast tue 120hz to 240hz refresh rate and not the 100hz ang below, laki ng difference when watching stuff
3) get a 3D TV not a Smart TV or 3D Smart TV because it will be cheaper, not everything on a Smart TV can be usable sa pinas and Smart TV functions pwede namang maging Add-On sa mga accessories or if you have an Android phone you can Miracast to your 3D TV with Add-Ons like Dongles, yung 3D functionality di pwedeng Add On since its a built in feature
4) SAMSUNG for more Saturation, Deeper whites and blacks while LG for less Saturation but brighter Image quality

Go for LG or Samsung, since parang phase out naman ang LCD ngayon mostly LEd na binibenta, last month bumili ako nga 32" samsung LED with home theater 16k. Pasok sa budget mo ang 42 inches either both brands. Medyo mataas konti ang Samsung.
speaking of movies using external or USB flash drive both naman capable maka read.although meron ako na encounter na LG na tinry ko using external hardrive na walang Audio its because sa audio setting nya walang DTS.
better bring usb drive na meron kargang HD or full HD na movie para ma try mo na rin.

mkv is just a container format. it can contain video and audio of different formats

i.e.
mkv with video in mp4 and audio in mp3, mkv with video in wmv and audio in dts, etc etc

malamang kaya hindi nagplay yun dahil yung isa sa mga laman ng mkv is using a format that is not supported ng player mo. I use mediainfo para malaman ko ano mga nasa loob ng mkv file (its easier than using other tools to see whats inside the mkv)

yep. strange talaga AVC ang codec na nababasa niya. yung ibang mga files ko same din naman ng codec nababasa e. hmm..will try to change the codec to x264 or MPEG4 nalang kaso baka ma degrade quality.
