ha ha ha hayup sa kampihan ah hindi komo top level kayo dito tama kayo.  kala ko ba stay on topic so bakit me mga ganyang post na "look past what he's trying to say and look directly at who said it along with his reputation here.."

pwede nyong i-contest opinion ko with regards to this topic we're entitled to our own opinion I just started the thread and just trying to defend myself with fellow espiya who fire his gun towards me.

the line I said about reputation, it clearly wasn't about you.. but with this thread, you're starting to make a reputation yourself..

and again, don't look at who said it.. it doesn't matter if I'm a "top level" or this is my first post.. read the message! it's more important..

discrimination????  oh please c'mon.  anong pinag kaiba nyan kay Manny Pacquiao running for a position?  We all know what he's capable of and saan sya magaling pero hindi pa sya nauupo judged na kagad natin sya na dapat di sya tumakbo.  ms. mercado is a decent actress most of us knew that but......being a 'Board of Director' ng San Miguel?  anong discrimination dun?  im just basically upset with this government's decision to appoint her.  kayo yata ang nag discriminate komo non-top level ang nag start ng thread ano gusto nyo kayo lang magaling? baka sa susunod pa ban nyo na ko nyan?

if it's not discrimination, what is it? she's a decent actress, but what? that's all can she do? well, tell that to the people of Batangas who wasted their votes on their Governor.. or did they?

oh and before you get angry, look at your first post and ask why you got these kinds of reactions.. ;)

::lmao ::lmao

Let's all have a mug of ice cold beer and chill, it's so hot in here.  toast:: toast:: toast::

FTT: let's not take everything away from ms. mercado. let's give ms. mercado a chance, maybe this time around she can do better.

i doubt it, though.

but on another note, placing ms. Mercado on SMC as one of its board of directors upon appointment by our current president is a blatant and vulgar display of power. i'm not taking away anything from ms. Mercado, but the rep of the Revillas in Cavite and even in the senate speaks for itself.

Let's have a drink and relax.  toast:: toast::

ha ha ha masyado nang nitty picky mga tao dito masyadong apektado.  i just started the thread remember?  hindi ako nag flamming like i said if you disagree with my opinion fine stay on topic it's just somebody directed he's anger at me.  and mind you SMC is not just a simple company sa pinas bakit ang gobyerno ang nag a-appoint ng board of director dun?  now 'Enron' is just a company in the US but when it when down, look what happened to the US?  Besides she's the first woman who got appointed to the SMC board what more an actress so if that's not a history I dont know what is.

now w/ regards to the title of the thread masyado kayong nitty picky it's a figure of speech sorry for that i apologize of course former president Aquino's death are far more devastating than this again I apologize and I'm wrong if you would really go strict on this.  charge to experience hirap palang mag umpisa ng ganitong thread.

tama na yoko na di kayo papatalo di rin naman ako papatalo and for peace offering paparazzi shots na lang open kong thread next time.

frigate, anything that deals with a person's death is more significant than any other news. more so if that person contributed something good in history. this is not being nitpicky. this is about relative news and their impacts to us.

as for SMC, totoo nga na gobyerno ang nagappoint kay lani pero isang part lang naman ang SMC sa industriya ng pilipinas. mas marami pang kumpanya na magkasing laki o mas malaki pa sa SMC but why does the government put appointees there ? let's just look at it at a bigger perspective

let's just give lani a benefit of a doubt. we do not know what lani is capable of other than acting
pick an evil and live with it till the end.

3.) in respect to lani mercado-revilla, kasalanan ba niya na ma-appoint sya sa SMC? it's her decision to accept or decline to the offer..

im not against anyone here, nor putting myself on one side.. let's just be fair enough.. this is an open furom  for us to share out opinions with one another..

chill my friends and brothers/sisters..

(1) Did you even read the article you posted? Quote from the article: "Kontrolado ng gobyerno ang 27 percent ng SMC at allowed ang gobyerno maglagay ng limang appointees sa board of directors ng kumpanya." There are far "worse" than an actress that you should be worried about if you're primary concern is securing the filipino people's interest in the company.

Since you didn't even put an effort to read the article, why the hell would I spend more time arguing who else are in said board. I guess I don't have to go as far as to tell you the majority group in the board, if actually one obviously exists.

(2) In this time when our current president is a woman, seriously? And let me get this straight, the worst thing that could happen to a woman is being an actress?

(n) Everyone, including former president Erap Estrada and Senator Gringo Honasan, held their opinion and self interest for two days now and you didn't even wait for 3 hours to make a joke out of the people power icon's death? Seriously, 2 hours after?

may point si frigate kahit papaano

business is different from politics

yung nakikita nyo hindi tunay na labanan yun like advertisement blah, blah or promo

tyak sasabihin nyo na crab mentality nanaman yan or may discrimination

so ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame ::dontflame

The appointment of the actress is sad because it insults the Filipino people on the day that a someone who has fought for our interests died.  If the Philippine Government has a share in SMC, then, those shares belong to the Filipino people.  Those shares do not belong to Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.  Hence, it is only proper that the Philippine Government, represented by Gloria Macapagal Arroyo should appoint someone who has the professional competence, technical expertise and experience in corporate affairs to voice consumer interests, corporate vision or strategic business directions that shall enhance the value of such shares on behalf of the Filipino people.  The appointment should have been finalized after vetting the biodata of several corporate executives or enterpreneurs with no political affiliations.

On second thought, the ownership of those shares is still in question.  I do not think they have been resolved.

If I remember right, the purchase of San Miguel Corporation from the Soriano Family was done by Mr. Danding using coconut levy funds.  The contract of sale was done by Sen. Angara, Mr. Drillon and the late Mr. Roco.  That contract has been kept secret up to now.  Maybe, those issues should have been included by Gloria Arroyo in her SONA as they have lingering issues since 1986.

I think Cory made our constitution worse...
She didn't have any great/good contribution in her term also.

2 decades past and where still no better off then...
I'm no Marcos loyalist nor pro GMA but I go for charter change... yun ay para maitama ang mali sa constitution not make it really worse.

About Cory's contribution to Philippine history or what have you, I offer you a question: Like in China, is youtube.com blocked in the Philippines?

If the topic starter could have been more specific and reasonable as this gentleman, the topic could have been more discussed. Remember, topic starter frigate mainly offered 2 prejudiced and discriminating reason why shouldn't Mrs. Tolentino-Revilla be appointed: she's an actress and not a man. See how #)($#)@$*@)(#*$ is that?
