PayPal accidentally credits man $92 quadrillion
« on: July 18, 2013, 01:49:11 am »

PayPal, the online money-transfer company, has accidentally credited a man in Delaware a whopping $92,233,720,368,547,800, making him by far the richest man in the world.

Chris Reynolds, 56, said he was shocked when he received his monthly statement via e-mail from PayPal last week, with an ending balance of $92 quadrillion, over a million times richer than the world's richest man, Carlos Slim.

The fortune of Slim, a Mexican telecommunications mogul, would pale in comparison at a mere $73 billion. "I'm just feeling like a million bucks," Reynolds was quoted as saying by the Philadelphia Daily News. "At first I thought that I owed quadrillions. It was quite a big surprise." Reynolds said he has been a PayPal customer for about 10 years and uses it to buy and sell items on eBay, including vintage car parts. He said he usually spends no more than $100 a month using PayPal. After absorbing the initial shock, Reynolds logged on to PayPal's site and saw that his balance was listed there as $0. If the prodigious account credit were true, Reynolds — who with his wife owns Reynolds Ink, a public-relations firm — said he would pay down debts with the money.

"I'm a very responsible guy," he said. "I would pay the national debt down first." PayPal has admitted the error and offered to donate an unspecified amount of money to a cause of Reynolds' choice. "This is obviously an error and we appreciate that Mr Reynolds understood this was the case," CNN quoted PayPal as saying in a statement.

tapos National Debt ang uunahin niya bayaran - noble move.    :applause

paying national debt using paypal

it doesn't work that way

paying debt sa world bank or IMF or any banking institutions kailangan may Backed ka

when we say it is backed by
1. Land
2. Gold
3. any resources that has value like silver, diamond, oil, platinum

but commonly mas gusto nila gold dito na derive yung world na dollar meaning

a dollar is equivalent ng 1/20 ounce of gold ewan ko lang ngayon
a pound means a pound of sterling kung di ako nagkakamli silver

but the thing may multiplier ang banknote kaya mas gusto nila  ang paper money kaysa sa gold money or silver or platinum

kase ang quadrillion na yan e baka naka multiplier na yan any banking and finance in espiya will understand that

basing that you quoted my above post and not the initial post of TS, or even the original article where it was taken, let me explain why such was included in my post.  putting such line in my post doesn't necessarily equate or translate to me believing that such is possible.  i just used such line since it may be used as INTRODUCTION to my OT post regarding pagtanaw sa utang na loob - at tamang pagbayad sa utang.  i wouldn't want to dwell on the possibility of doing such (paying national debt with paypal) since such discussion is already moot and academic since said article did say that it was just an error.  likewise, ayaw ko masyado intindihin yang financial aspect na yan at wala akong kakilalang MAGALING NA FINANCIAL PERSON / SPECIALIST - just plain old financier!!!  DAKILANG MANGHUHUTHOT lang kumbaga
