bandwidth limiter

guys meron ba kayong software na pedeng gamiting pang limit ng bandwaidth ng bawat pc na pedeng iinstol sa isang pc at ung pc na un na ang magkokontrol ng lahat ng internet activity pati bandwidth distribution ng mga pc's ..salamat po

im not sure if such a software exists pero usually that is configured sa Router/Hub, you can put specific IPs to get Very High, High, Normal or Low bandwidth, ganyan ginagawa ko sa network namin hehe, di alam ng relatives ko na ang bulk ng bandwidth asaakin for download while streaming purposes

wow nice masterchief pede na din po yan router ko po kasi dito lyksys master pa instruct naman po how to do it ..anong portion po ang mpapalitan..at pano i allot ung malaking bandwidth salamat po

1) 192.168.1.1(if this is you routers IP) then log in username and PW usually admin admin
2) Click Applications and gaming sa main tabs
3) Click QoS (Quality of Service)
4) iba yung nakikita ko kasi very old model ng linksys gamit ko dito kaya 2 Mac address lang at 4 LAN port ang pwedeng i control so you shold have a newer interface where you can specify which IPs and MAC addresses get what amount of bandwidth along with prioritizing which apps get more and which apps get lees badwdith

bro. magkano ang bili niyo? saan kayo bumili? problema kasi kami dito ngayon sa Kerio , marami na ang nagda-download wala nang control.

lyer , nag dl ako ng lite paCkage nila , free na yun? ano gamit mo bro?, di na ba ako kailangan pa pumunta sa mga workstation para iconfigure pa sila? or sa server na lang ako mag config para mag block ng mga sites at apps.?

oo free yan, sa server ka na magblock pati kong sinong IP o workstation gusto mo bigyan ng internet pwede mo gawin dyan, pati torrent di sila makakaDL, pwede ka rin mag block dyan ng .exe, .rar at kong apang gusto mo na DL at attachment sa email.

file corrupted bro. pangalawang dl ko na to.. failed to process preconfiguration file, sinet ko na sa pinakamababang speed ang pag burn ko ganon pa rin. Im trying to install from USB right now sana tagumpay na to.

san ang source mo bro? sourceforge o sa site nila mismo?

wag ka gumamit ng IDM o download accelarator pag nag DDL ka ng linux na installer. dyan lang din ako kumuha ng ginamit ko sa site nila.

ok nga ito boss pinag aaralan ko na na dl ko na he he he parang os lang na bura ung windows xp ko pero ayos lang added knowledge naman ..sir ask ko lang how to block torrent and streaming sites like youtube, metacafe and others salamat po  finger4u finger4u

punta ka sa "protocol control" check mo ung mga gusto mo iblock dun sa "signature" nandyan na lahat lahat from streaming to P2P.

Router Modem(PPoE) -> Router ->UT-> Switch-> Workstations

paano patakbuhin yan bro? gusto ko sana ang router pa rin ang mag bigay ng IP ,may FTP at IP camera kasi kami naka config sa Router namin. Di ako makakita ng related topic sa untangle forum.  :(

OK na yang setup mo, bali dalawang lancard ung UT, ung isang lancard kukuha ng connection sa router ung isang lancard magbibigay ng connection sa workstation.

ex. kong yong eth0 (external) galing sa router at may IP na 192.168.1.2, ung eth1 (internal) mo naman na papuntang switch o workstation ay (192.168.2.1)

di ko pa nasubukan sa vm, since gagamit talaga ng malaking resources tong UT.

ito setup nyan dude:

router -------> UT ------------> switch --------------> workstation

UT - 2 landcard (external and internal)

external - IP from router
internal - IP or gateway for workstation

1. external IP - yan ung IP na makukuha mo sa router or source of internet nag UT box mo.

ex. kong dhcp yang router mo then set external IP ng UT to DHCP

2. internal IP - yang ung magiging IP or gateway ng UT, (dapat iassign mo yan ng static)

ex. kong ung router mo nagbibigay ng 192.168.1.X series na Dynamic IP sa UT then iassign mo ng 192.168.2.X ung UT para di mgconflict.
