SATUR, CASINO, MASA To Run for SENATE!

MANILA, Philippines—Party-list representatives Satur Ocampo, Liza Maza, and Teddy Casino registered their political coalition at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in a bid to field senatorial and local candidates in the 2010 polls.

The three opposition members went to the office of Comelec Chairman Jose Melo on Thursday morning to register Makabayan (or Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan, Patriotic Coalition of Citizens).

"This coalition, whose members have been tried and tested in the last three elections, aims to make bigger presence in the political mainstream by wining three seats in the Senate in 2010," said Ocampo, Makabayan's national president.

"Makabayan shall pursue strategic and short-term policy and system changes in the new government and beyond. We lack funds and resources but we have dedicated volunteers and activists who can run grassroots campaign, and a voter's base of three million," he added.

Makabayan is composed of party-list organizations Bayan Muna, Anakpawis, Gabriela, Kabataan, ACT Teachers, Courage, and Migrante.

para sa masa daw.....

tpos efigy ni GMA last yr ginamit sa rally....lumbas sa abs-cbn worth P200,000 wow....pera ng sambayanan pilipino gingastos nila sa rally.......wawa naman tayo...ano pa kya pag asa senado na sila.....

kunyari kakampi nila mga magsasaka sa hacienda luista mamya....kasma na nila mga aquino contra PGMA....wawang magsasaka hangang ngaun sarado ang luisita....ala na pera pang kain at pang paaral sa mga anak....

what we need to do is to inform and educate the filipino voters that these 3 party list representative is under the undrella of cpp npa. we should watch them, so that they could not have a seat to the senate.our democracy migth be at risk.

How ironic that these people are using the institutions of democracy to further the cause of communism in this country. I think this is the only drawback in the Aquino Presidency, trying to make peace with the communists and setting them free although i really can't question the wisdom and the good intentions of the late President. In my own personal opinion, you can only make peace with a dead communist.

I never heard anything na nagawa nila sa congress except rallies and pag-contra, and of-course lagi ko sila napapanood na ini-interview ng press... yun lang,..

I think f they win mag change court na tayo... Ang mga PULIS at AFP sa bundok na at ang mga NPA sa rural area na cla at sa mga police station...sana may magawa tayo para hindi cla manalo...

Para sakin binabastos na ng mga pulitiko ang election next year kasi lahat nalang gusto tumakbo.... kakaiba diba sila yung batikos ng batikos tapos tatakbo sila hay naku lalong maghihirap ang pilipinas pag ganyan ang system ng government natin... nakaka-awa lalo ang mga pilipino nyan... wala na bang iba alternatibo para tumakbo... eh pare-pareho lang yan mga yan na corrupt eh.... kaya ang pilipinas hindi umuunlad eh.... sana wag na silang tumakbo plz lang....
