Configuring Vista internet connection

Hi can someone help me configuring my smart bro to vista normally in xp when you plug the lan cable in the pc/ in my case laptop you'll just have to open the internet explorer and you get automaticaly redirected to the smart bro portal to log in order to access the websites ehehe pls can someone teach me thanks

the same thing in windows XP just plug in in cable DSL then enter ur password and account name waaaallaaaaaa ur online again.......

w8...it when clicking at the local area connection it shows limited connectivity and when i open the internet explorer it tell me that i'm not connected..can you elaborate me on how to establish a connection for the first time thanks ;D
