uhhm ksi i'm a user of smart bro ask ko lang pag nag ddl kayu pag mga 356kpbs ang plan nyu ilang kbps per second ang DL speed nyu?? skin kasi lagi mga 16kbps to 40kbps

bro kc ang alam ko parating inaadvertise satin is in kilobits per sec(kbps). ung pag gnagamit na natin, we use kilobytes(KBps) na. so u have to convert it by dividing the speed of your plan by 8. for example, 640kbps /8 = 80KBps. depende pa yan kung download speed o upload speed. sa mga mas may alam, correct me if wrong..

yes, that is correct. it is always kilobits per second that is advertised

marami akong mga nakikitang nagrereklamo lagi dahil daw yung smart wifi (smart bro na ngayon) nila ang bagal daw ng speed. thats because they dont know that they are subscribed to 128kilobits per second max not 128kilobytes per second max. so max download speed mo is only 16 kilobytes per second. max yan ha, not average. so mabagal talaga sya

for upload speed, since most commercial DSL is ADSL, in your case max upload speed is only 64kilobits per second so thats only 8kilobytes per second max upload

fafs mnsan nman 40kbps per second eh kc nag upgrade na cla and the max speed that smart bro can give if your reception is good is 356kbps pr second hay sana ganun smen as in msan ko lang na experience and 40 kbps per second...

btw is zipidee good and how does it cost??? do you need to be subscribed into one of their cable plans in order  to be connected?? thx

zipidee is good but IMO its too expensive. i dont know if they have brought down their prices but last i checked, their package was just too expensive (the lowest plan is cheap but you have a bandwidth limit of less than 100mb if memory serves right)

for smart bro, that is the so called burstable speed as they say wherein you can get a max of 384kpbs at times (thats 40 kilobytes per second) but that rarely happens thats why their advertised speed is only 256 (i think binalik na nila sa 256 yung advertised speed nila)

fafs can you give me a link about their plans??? thx i'm thinking switching to zipidee when my contract with smart expires 1 year lock in payment if i want to terminate my plan now i have to pay 11,856 php amf....

try mo globelines.. kung available sya sa area mo.. subsvribed ksi ako sa local internet provider d2 sa davao.. hindi available ang globelindes, pero sa globelines nagkukuhu ng bandwith ang probider ko.. download speed ko is.. 20-40 kbps. average is 30+..  980 per month ang subscription.. and you can disconnect it whenever you want.. walang contract
