With E3 over lets reassess the situation:
Games:
The launch titles for the Xbox one were pretty "meh".
- Quantum Break - Someone really should tell Microsoft that FMV is dead. The only game that should be allowed to use FMV is Command and Conquer since that's part of the frachise's charm.
- Dead Rising - meh
- Killer Instinct - Hello 1995! Welcome back!
- MGS5 - meh. I really don't want to play another super dramatic Hideo Kojima game.
- Titanfall - could have potential, but I don't really want to play another FPS.
- Ryse: Son of Rome - meh. The whole demo was a sequence of quick time events and cinematics.
- Halo 5: Probably the only title I'm going to miss if I move to PS4, but they'll probably release it for the PC as well since it is Microsoft.
Other Features:
Tablet compatibility - MS wants me to put down the controller and check my tablet/smartphone and do stuff related to the game, then pick up my controller again??? Why can't I do it on the game HUD?
Game Sharing - So my friends have to pay a fee to play a game I really enjoy and that I think they'll enjoy too?
Required online connectivity - I don't get the point of this. Did MS really do any research? there are around 78 Million Xbox 360's around the world, only
46 million of those consoles are connected to the internet. Of those users who connected their console to the internet only
half probably pay for the service. What happens in 10 years after MS decides to shut down it's servers? They've effectively put a lifespan on the Xbox one game library. I still connect my PS2 to the TV from time to time if I'm feeling nostalgic. I can probably do the same thing on my Xbox360 10 years from now. It seems MS doesn't want me to do the same thing for the XB1.
Kinect - I had a Kinect that I barely used. I only really used it for 2 weeks and then the novelty wore off. I sold because it was just gathering dust and I need the money. Also it required a lot of space to use. I don't really like rearranging my furniture when I want to play a game.
Price: $499 - remember when gaming used to be a cheap hobby? Also MS killed backwards compatibility. I have 3 perfectly good controllers for my 360 now I'll have to buy a different controller for the XB1? Also the fee for game sharing, it just sounds like a naked money grab. Also the mandatory internet connection. MS says that the optimal XB1 connection speed will be
1.5Mbps, how much will that cost you a month?
Other stuff:
Microsoft broke my heart with this:

The MS exec seems really disconnected to his customer base. If MS seems really disconnected now, I'm scared to think of what's to come.
CONFIRMED
nope, they are not, they are Primarily Multi Media Hubs, Gaming being only one of the those Medias
GAME CONSOLES are not really targetted for 3rd World Countries but for those who can and are willing to pay for games and online service
we can go on the whole "Always online/Anti Pircay" issue but i digress since it would just lead to nowhere but MS has just said, it periodically needs it, specially for Xbox Ones that will have Multiple users
Ok, so that's cleared up. So the only next gen GAME CONSOLES then are the PS4 and the WiiU. Xbox one doesn't count because it's a media hub. Now I get it. I don't want a media hub. I want a GAME CONSOLE. A dedicated electronic device that plays VIDEO GAMES. It makes the next gen game console choice easier then.
