investment wise, i'll go for the iphone6 because of it's value and prestige... only setback is most apps have to be paid with... but if you really want to use your phone's full potential, i would go for the samsung s6 since majority of the apps is free and can easily be downloaded from google...

yup android user here , yan kinaiingitan ko sa mga apple users.. pag time to upgrade na... mataas pa rin resale value , di tulad nga mga Samsung and LG android phones

all these new phones, you can only experience its full potential pag laging online ang phone mo. in short, since andito ka sa pinas, you most likely will not be able to use all of these new phones features (i.e. slow internet, and data capping)
which is why I prefer android since its easy to customize. hindi ko naman gagamitin yung ibang features so might as well remove them from the phone so I can use the phone longer

I will go for iphone 6. tama yung sinabi about sa resale value.. mataas prin kahit maluma na. kapag ayaw mo na ibenta mo na. trust me mabibili agad yan kahit 2nd hand. compared to samsung or any android phones. simply because. yung OS nila iisa ang platform.. tama din yung kung gusto mo icustomized ang phone mo mag android ka. you can do it din naman sa iphone. pero gagastos ka. kc paid apps ang karamihan..
Kung gusto mo ng Performance, Security, "Good Battery", classy and expensive na phone go for Iphone..
Kung gusto mo ng Performance, not so secured "Bad Battery life (lalo't built in na ang battery nya) jusko po" classy and expensive din na phone go for S6.
Na try ko na mag Iphone 5s and Samsung S5 before. pero i stick with my IP5s. simply beacuse its amazing!

Both are good brands depende na lang iyan talaga sa end user.
truth is madaming useless apllication na hinde naman kailangan talaga, sa atin kasi ginagawang social status ang pag kakaroon ng cellphone!
in the end ang masaya is ung mga manufacturer and vendors.

4. wala syang micro sd

6. ang mahal pa
unlike Androids

easy to install
madaling manood
sa akin cherry mobile lang na 1,500 nagagawa kuna gusto ko COC at manood ng tooth

since your were asking about what our preference is, i would choose the iphone 6. please note though that, to some extent, a person's choice of mobile phone is a very personal matter; the reasons that motivate one to choose a over b are unique to that individual.
if you can afford the iphone 6 or the galaxy s6 (i.e. price is not a consideration), i would suggest that you go to a place where you can get your hands on these phones and try them out. if you have friends who own these phones, ask them to show their phones to you so you can check things like: performance, user interface, response time, color, weight, feel, etc.
you may choose to gloss over the usual things like processor specs and RAM because, while these may be indicators of performance, the OS can play a huge part in your user experience.
also ask yourself if the apps you want are available on the phone that you are considering.

tsk tsk tsk masakit mang aminin totoo yan, kaya nga binenta ko iphone 6 ko eh, ang hirap maglagay ng music required pa itunes lalo akong nabwisit nung di ko malagyan ng itunes pc ko nag freeze sa installation, tapos required pa openline para makagamit ng ibang network, ang the best lang talaga sa iphone ay yung camera tsaka yung smooth movements nung screen, parang very high resolution yung dating.

Global naman (well except north korea) kasi nga halos Lahat ng mga cp ngayun na lumalabas smart phones and touch screen na, even blackberry they jump in the bandwagon na rin, pero may mga mga models pa sila na may physical keypad.
maganda iphone kaya lang masyado kang nakatali sa OS nila sa android you have more freedom easy to customize..

Marami pa rin akong nakikita na gumagamit ng Nokia na may keypad pa..oo marami ng gunagamit ng smartphone dito sa pinas pero kadalasan cherry mobile, my phone ,huawei and other china phones..

mas affordable talaga yung mga china made ngayun half the price pero yung specs and functionality hinde na nalalayo sa mga premium brands..
technology na nakuha nila sa mga major brands like apple, sony, samsung kaya nakagawa sila ng mas mura..

Of course they do. Why do you think people camp outside an Apple Store for days or sometimes even weeks every time the iPhone's latest iteration is about to be released? And funnily enough, you'll never/rarely see that level of "enthusiasm" for another brand.

How can you equate those other brands that people used to camp also like a clothing brand or any brand or fads? Can you also "brand" them as social climbers?
My opinion is why tag others as such just because they have the means to splurge on expensive things and have a knack on it? Just let them be anyhow they arent messing your effin life!

well wala sa dalawa ang gusto ko, kung gusto mo ng matibay na mura doon kana sa Nokia 3310 kahit ihampas mo pa sobrang tibay at long lasting pa... imagine until now may nokia 3310 is still alive and kicking whahahahahaha :D ringing pala.
Anyways just to stay in the topic mas prefer ko yong S6, mas maganda kasi android kaysa IOS.

Tinamaan mo!, that's the very exact reason kung bakit gustong gusto ko sa iphone, yung crisp na screen movement nya, despite na sa papel makikita mo na mas mataas yung specs ng samsung sa kanya in terms of ram and memory space.

Notice that I said "of course they do" (as in "they do use it as a form of status symbol"), not something like "of course they are" (social climbers or whatever).
If people simply want to own the phone, why not pre-order (Apple's site/carrier/Walmart/Target, etc)? Why not live your life the way you normally would, then on the day of the release, go to your preferred store and buy it? No. They do it because they want to brag about it.
Now, whether people buy an iPhone to further their social standing, or because they think it's the best phone out there, or simply because they want to and they could is beside the point. I do however find it incredibly inane that just because it's "more affordable" in the US that Americans can't use it as some sort of social barometer. Remember, even though it is technically "cheaper" compared to prices in the Ph, it is still one of the best and most expensive phones in the US. Apple's still one of the most successful companies in the world. And people still put a premium on that.

Im ok bro and i dont take offense either ;D. Maybe in general an iphone is still a phone. Extraordinary it maybe to others but in general its still an ordinary phone which people get used to. Kumbaga, kanya-kanya lang yan kung saan ka hiyang ;D. Thats why everybody if not all wants to have an iphone because like waht you have said its one of the most successful companies.
