Amost 2 years na po ako sa odesk. You can be paid by the hour or by project. Kung hourly based ka, for sure na makakuha ka ng bayad, but for a fixed priced may possibility na hindi ka mababayaran ng employer or buyer.

actually marami akong kilala na nag quit ng regular jobs at nag odesk na lang. flexible kasi ang time mo.

i actually go for $10-$15 / hour jobs. depende rin po kasi sa klase ng job ang rates.

i've seen data encoders for $3-$5 per hour. developers starting from $7-up seguro. but i've seen some that goes down to even $0.5 per hour. this rate is kind of stupid, if you convert it to peso, let say P43/dollar, 21.5 pesos kada oras ka lang.

take note po na merong 10% na additional ang odesk. if your rate is $10 the buyers will pay $11.

Toughest competition is indiano. sila nakikita ko na $.5 per hour. Suggestion ko masipag ka dapat mag apply. dont ask too much at first go for low hours simple jobs to gain hours | feedback | tsaka experience.

Nag open ako ng account dito before, pero hindi na tuloy, nung sakto kasi na may client na gusto kumuha saken sa Odesk, eh natanggap nako sa trabaho na ina-aplayan ko sa isang company, So pinile ko un over Odesk.

Napansin ko lang dito, parang online game sya, hindi sa dahil nag lalaro kalang, kundi dahil kaylangan mo mag pataas ng lvl/kalidad ng profile mo para mas piliin ka ng mga clients. Meron kasi sa Odesk mga free exams like exam for Microsoft office, pag napasa mo un, malalagay un sa profile mo at sympre pogi points un kung baga para pag tingin ng client mo sa profile mo.

So for starters, dont expect big rates/payments right away. Papogi ka muna. Every project na matatapos mo mag cocomment sayo ung client mo at kung maganda un edi ok kasi makikita ng iba. Un lang

Register ka sa odesk.com tapos meron silang readiness test. About sa policy ng odesk, etc. Madali lang naman.
Setup mo na rin yung contractor profile mo. After that pwede ka nang mag apply sa mga job postings.

I'm using Local Fund Transfer, dollar exchange is higher than paypal.

Odesk Local Fund Transfer -----/ 3 - 5 days /-----> Unionbank; charges: $1.99

Odesk ----/instant - 2 hours/-----> Paypal -----/ 2 - 4 days /------> Unionbank
charges: from odesk to paypal $1
paypal to Unionbank:
php 50 for withdrawals below Php 6,999.99
php 0 for withdrawals Php 7,000 and up.

kakagawa ko lang kasi ng account, kaso wala pa akong PAYPAL o BANK ACCOUNT ..pede na ba ako tumanggap ng job s Odesk kahit na wala pa?.. bale maiipon lang yung payments sa account ko?...
