As for bamboo medias has still no idea why they called it quits.

meanwhile...

Sugarfree announced on Friday that their lead vocalist Ebe Dancel will leave the group next month. Manila Bulletin reported the next day that Dancel signed a recording, publishing, and management deal with Warner Music Philippines. Recording for his solo album will start in October.

Sugarfree said in a statement, "Thank you for supporting Sugarfree for the past 11 years... We would like to express our support in Ebe's pursuits. Please attend our series of send-off gigs for Ebe. Sugarfree will still continue its own musical journey."

After Dancel announced the news on Twitter, he Tweeted last week, "Crying inside a coffee shop while reading Tweets for the first time. I'm overwhelmed. Di ko alam na ganito nyo ako kamahal. Salamat po (I didn't know you guys loved me this much. Thank you)."

aw,  I wonder anong banda ang susulpot bigla mula sa members ng bamboo. eheh yung vocalist ngayon ng rivermaya parang ginagaya style ni bamboo nung kumanta sya sa umagang kay ganda. weird.

as for bamboo there's still no official statement released by the band and most especially their manager Pancho Gonzales, kaya still rumors pa rin.

wala na talaga kwenta music scene dito sa pinas lalo na sa mga banda. nagiging hype o fad na lang talaga. dami kaseng jologs e. jologs na, bibili pa ng pirated CDs o kaya magdodownload ng MP3s. pormang emo, tapos nagsasayaw ng hip-hop... bulok talaga... mas mataas ang amusement tax ng local artists compared sa mga foreign artists na nagpupunta dito. hay, musika ng pinas, saan ka patungo?!   smoking::

Gone are the days na nagco-collect pa ako ng original tapes ng mga bands, just when eraserheads were making their entrance in the mainstream. Masyado kasi ginasgas ng recording companys ang mga banda ng nauso kahit sino na lang pwede ng mag form ng banda at magka album, to the point na pati yung jologs at dancer sa kanto nakikikanta na at nakiki rock en roll. Parang mas ok pa nung time na nagbubugbugan ang mga hiphop at metal kasi kahit papanu may identity mga tao. Ngayon nakiki banda na nakiki street dance pa, mga kabataan ngayun lahat ng uso ginagaya. music there in the north is just so commercialized... ok lang naman saken na ma disband yang mga yan. they don't play music as their passion, they're just into it for money. just my opinion though.

try exploring the music scene in the south(cebu especially), you'll be amazed at the level of talent we have here. and we don't sell music here, bands here play because they just like playing. regardless.

Rock singer Francisco "Bamboo" Mañalac finally confirmed the breakup of his band, Bamboo, in an official statement posted before midnight of January 11 on the group's website.

"As a group we've come to a point where you have to trust your gut, your heart and your head and accept that all things change. The hardest part as always is to know when to pack it up and part ways.

"We've learned that this journey is not only about us but includes all who came along for the trip. Family, friends and of course our front row believers who were there for the best reason of all. To simply listen. So it didn't come easy winding down to this decision.

"So here we go. IT'S OFFICIAL. THE BAND. IT'S OVER."
