The Chemical Attack & Massacre of Damascus
« on: August 23, 2013, 12:05:44 am »
Aug 21, 2013 - At approximately 3:00am this morning in Damascus, a year to the day after Obama’s infamous “red line” speech warning Assad about using chemical weapons, and as a specialized UN inspection team sleep in their hotels in Damascus, ostensibly there to investigate a CW attack 6 months ago, Assad launched his largest, most wide scale and most deadly attack using chemical weapons on the Damascus suburbs of Zamallaka and Ein Turma in the Eastern Ghouta area. The fallout from the attack was also felt in many of the surrounding districts.

Preliminary reports are that close to 600 people have been killed so far with thousands more injured from the effects of the gas which some are claiming, based on the symptoms seen, to be “weaponized cyanide”
In two days, you and the rest of the world will forget about this massacre the same way you forgot about the rest that have happened over the last 2+ years in Syria.

Well, that's the problem with Chemical Attacks. Hindi namimili kung sino tatamaan. As always, nasa Russia/Syrian gov't agad ang sisi. And some suspect it was intended to make sure that the Syrian gov't will be blamed.

Another false flag to justify the impending western military intervention in Syria.  Since the terrorist rebels sponsored by QATAR, SA, Turkey and the West is losing more grounds in the civil war against the secular regime this one considered as desperate act for them.

Remember behind Iraq, the mother of all lies.  The invading forces caused millions of Iraqis casualties as well as destruction of infrastructure in short destroyed Iraq.

Wish anyone of those western leaders will be tried in International Court for massacre as well.

"The UN Security Council has called for immediate access for UN investigators on the ground in Damascus," Downing Street said.

"The fact that President Assad has failed to co-operate with the UN suggests that the regime has something to hide."

Even the regime itself and its closest allies, Russia and Iran, do not dispute that chemical weapons were used in the suburbs of Damascus on Wednesday. The evidence from a huge flow of distressing amateur video is too massive to dismiss.

Both Moscow and Tehran have said they are urging the Syrian authorities to co-operate with the UN chemical weapons inspectors already in Damascus, and the Iranian foreign minister has quoted his Syrian counterpart as saying the government is preparing the conditions for a site visit.

Will they act against Assad or not?
It could turn out to be an" out of the frying pan and into the fire" situation for the West.

"At this juncture, any belated decision by the regime to grant access to the U.N. team would be considered too late to be credible, including because the evidence available has been significantly corrupted as a result of the regime's persistent shelling and other international actions over the last five days," the official said.

Western leaders have been phoning each other in recent days and issuing declarations promising some kind of response.

"This crime must not be swept under the carpet," British Prime Minister David Cameron's office said after a telephone call with French President Francois Hollande about the crisis on Sunday morning.

"France is determined that this act does not go unpunished," Hollande's office said.

But the Obama administration is reluctant to be drawn deep into another war in the Muslim world after pulling U.S. forces out of Iraq and preparing to withdraw from Afghanistan.

About 60 percent of Americans surveyed in a Reuters/Ipsos poll published on Saturday said the United Nations should not intervene, while just 9 percent thought Obama should act.

Sana wala nang pinoy sa Syria.

AMMAN -- Western powers told the Syrian opposition to expect a strike against President Bashar al-Assad's forces within days, according to sources who attended a meeting between envoys and the Syrian National Coalition in Istanbul.

"The opposition was told in clear terms that action to deter further use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime could come as early as in the next few days, and that they should still prepare for peace talks at Geneva," one of the sources who was at the meeting on Monday told Reuters.

The meeting at a hotel in downtown Istanbul was between senior figures of the Syrian National Coalition, including its president Ahmad Jarba, and envoys from 11 core "Friends of Syria" alliance members, that included US envoy Robert Ford, the top US official handling the Syria file, the sources said.

I am referring to those children.

Based on Obama's message, it is now just a matter of time before they attack Assad.

"We have looked at all the evidence, and we do not believe the opposition possessed nuclear weapons on – or chemical weapons of that sort," Obama said. "We do not believe that, given the delivery systems, using rockets, that the opposition could have carried out these attacks. We have concluded that the Syrian government in fact carried these out. And if that's so, then there need to be international consequences."

"We're consulting with the international community," Obama said. "And you know, I have no interest in any kind of open-ended conflict in Syria, but we do have to make sure that when countries break international norms on weapons like chemical weapons that could threaten us, that they are held accountable."

Obama was asked what a limited military strike would accomplish, then.

"Again, I have not made a decision, but I think it's important that if, in fact, we make a choice to have repercussions for the use of chemical weapons, then the Assad regime, which is involved in a civil war, trying to protect itself, will have received a pretty strong signal, that in fact, it better not do it again," Obama said. "And that doesn't solve all the problems inside of Syria, and, you know, it doesn't, obviously end the death of innocent civilians inside of Syria."
